How do stop my neck from hurting when I'm at the dentists? For real it's the worst experience.

I've got a dentist appoint in a couple days. I was there a couple weeks ago (got a few teeth being worked on) and it was horrible. My neck has always been quite bad and I have to use a very specific firmness of pillow to stop it getting sore. At the dentists their chairs are so stiff that my neck gets really sore quickly and then because I can't move I get claustrophobic. I've also tweaked my neck wood chipping now. I'm also going directly from work so I can't drink spirits. What can I do to numb the pain?

Request that they accommodate you for your neck pain. You jerking your head while they fiddle with your molars isn't in their best interest. Also maybe put one of those heating creams on your neck to see if it does anything (Vaporub, icyhot, etc.)
That is a good idea perhaps, cheers. I don't understand why the dentist chairs are so hard, they should make them softer.
