How do you cope with being sad

if you're sad a lot, i suggest taking a break from the internet. i know people say it a lot, but there's a lot of really negative stuff that you're exposed to on a regular basis without realizing it. not using the internet for a couple of days and keeping to a good schedule can really help you feel better!

it might not work right away, and it can be tempting to just use forums or watch videos to try and ignore feeling sad, but in the long run it's really helpful.
 
Take a deep breath. Imagine a little hot match starting in your belly. As you breathe in it rises through the heart and up to the head. As you breathe out it falls back down, through the heart and settles in the belly again. Be aware of your body and feel yourself, the weight on your feet. Breath feeling energy moving up and down your whole body, arms, legs, torso. Sit down and write a little list of whats missing in your life and what you need. Make a little plan to make something better.

OP informs us they were not chocolate but the tiny cat did indeed eat them.
 
I spam internet forums with woes, problems, intense self-deprecation and so on. I may also spam one particularly close friend on WhatsApp.

Then eventually I feel good again.
