I differentiate in types of love, with agape as the greatest of them.

I don't think love itself is what one fights for as much as one fights for the objects of love. In which case it.s worth everything. You fight for what you love, not what you're indifferent about.

Love is well, love, it's more than like it's a passion, it can be platonic, familial or romantic. I do split family and platonic (friend) love apart because I feel deep inside, we are wired to love our kin more.

Love's a good thing and I'm so thankfully all 3 in my life are filled.

All love is conditional. Your parents love you, under the condition that you're their offspring (or "offspring" for the adopted). Your pets love you, under the condition you will pay it attention, feed, and care for it. Your kids love you, under the condition you protect and nurture them. Your spouse loves you, under conditions that meet their ideals or don't deviate too far. Love is an emotion that never remains constant or consistent, and this is why.

There are different forms of love. It seems to me that ALL involve a sense of lost separation between two individuals. That is why MDMA allows people to form such close bonds. You feel totally open with a person, almost Vulcan mind merge shit.

In God, peace and love are found because peace is the lack of anxiety (an emotion) and love is a lack of separation (experienced as something akin to nonduality).

Different presentations of love seem to involve things like oxytocin and serotonin. Not sure what chemicals are related to physical attraction but that is a common expression.

Its borderline indescribable and probably irrational, but I see it as the feeling of wanting the best for someone/something without care for your own pleasure or self-satisfaction. Humans are weak minded so we cannot perceive of it fully. At best we can give each other a muddy reflection of Christ's love for all of us.

Love is a funky ass kind of emotion as well as a term used for close bonds/relationships

The Love/hate dynamic overall is interesting because you can simultaneously feel both for something or someone.
The politication of the word love by certain groups has always rubbed me the wrong way. "love is love" is a statement that at least half of the people uttering it seem to function as automatons who have never felt a true bond to another human being. It's a stupid simplification of love. love is something that's already simultaneously simple as shit and deep and complex as hell that almost everyone can understand on some level.

Brotherly/familial love is really all I've felt for anyone in my whole life save for a few people who didn't feel the same way i did. Same happened with other people towards me so it's one of those things you just gotta live with. I kinda wonder where they are now sometimes. Even unrequited love can mutate into a sorta platonic/brotherly kinda love overtime.

God I fucking miss when new people I've met weren't as hollow as they are now. There's still people out there that follow what I'm getting at here but it really does feel like the bugman "love is love" type shit is paradoxically eroding actual love and bonds between people.
 
Love is what you do to your cat.

When it cuddles up close to you and lets you scratch it's belly and know it's your true fren and everything is gonna be ok, despite this crazy clownworld.
