I'm curious about how BitWave works, who owns it and the history behind it.

I don't know exactly, but my guess is that it's still in the realm of an affordable hobby. Looking at the front page now, if the viewer numbers are accurate, there are about 400 viewers across all streams. That's maybe 15 times as many as I was expecting to see… but still significantly lower than the numbers that even Dlive has to support.But who are they? The infastructure to run a streaming service is expensive, how are they funding it?
