And what's it worth for? Cartoon dimensions and Lego Wolf shrink meetings. Bob himself would take the tugboat away if he saw what was and his happening.

Not necessarily, Bob put him on SSI and didn't revoke it when he purposefully ran over his PS3 or when he ran around his room dressed as Mr. Popo and Fred Flintstone
 
I would usually vie in favor of ‘fuck you Chris, get a job’, but he’s totally unstable now and has been for some time. He’d be a complete occupational hazard to any organization that would take a chance on him.

Nothing, because weens have inundated every government office from the (literal) local dogcatcher up to the FBI with breathless reports of Chris' real and imagined crimes for over a decade. Anything with his name on it gets immediately trashed.
 
Bob most likely got Chris labeled as a "Adult Child" by providing medical papers that established Chris had longstanding issues with his disability prior to the age of 18 (That paperwork would be the elusive "autism papers" since it'd be records from his childhood). Chris benefits from the title because it means his monthly payment is boosted based on what Bob and Barb paid into social security. It's why Rob Bell called Chris an adult child in the courtroom during the Snyder thing.
 
Bob didn't deserve it. He was an autistic man child just like his son. He named his greenhouse "Dreaming Studio" and hoarded a lot of records, including some with Sesame Street songs and he even watched Fraggle Rock a lot and he even bought his own NES to play Zelda 2. Yes, a man in his late 60s playing Nintendo.

He even had a swing in his greenhouse. Can you imagine Geriatric Bob kicking his feet up and down saying "Weeeeee!"?

He's not that unstable. He can get in his car and drive to the GameStop and complete a transaction without issue. His biggest problem is he just doesn't feel like working.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or not, but either way I don't see anything wrong with Bob being a child at heart when he was alive.
I mean give the guy a break, he served in the Korean War and had to raise and take care of CWC until his sad death. I'm sure you and everyone else here will rewatch the shows, play the video games, and read the books that we enjoyed when we were young to remind us of our youths when we get that old.

Show some respect, the man is dead and he was a brave hero among all of us here.

Bob wanted Chris one tugboat so he could take portion of it. Bob and Barb were not looking out for Chris. They were looking out for themselves. Anyone who ways otherwise is, pardon the strong language, a dumbface. B+B spent the money they took from Chris. They did not put it away for him so he would have savings for a "rainy day" or anything. They used government money to support their household of idiots.

Decent parents who charged their retarded child rent would put that money in some type of account to help them out later on.

For SSDI, it's a little bit different. They have what is called "Substantial Gainful Activity" that allows for a certain amount of income to be made, but there is a limit. Chris can make just a bit over $1,200/mo and still receive his payments and keep whatever medicare coverage they give him. Any more and they will garnish his payments, and of course, if he's ever in a situation where he's earning a lot more than that, he can lose his coverage. SGA for SSDI only determines eligibility. They don't garnish payments above it.

Unlike SSI, SSDI is not for poverty. You can have any amount of money and income as long as you're still considered disabled.

They determine disability by asking the question, "is this person capable of keeping a decent job?" They answer that question based on your ability to make more than a certain amount of money per month.

But the rub is that "making money" needs to be tied to an actual repeatable job. If you win the lottery or maybe have a yard sale or something, they don't consider that SGA.

Now if you are a professional gambler or raid thrift stores and resell the stuff on the internet for a profit consistently enough to make a living, that'd be SGA.

At times it kinda looked like Chris could've sustained himself with patreon and selling comics and stuff, but it kinda fizzled out.

Before Bob died, he mortgaged 14 Branchland Court and put the money in an account for Chris' future. Barb just blew that on Rob Bell because she refused to take a plea deal.
