Chris is a story better told as a legend than a historical account. And fucking Barb is the ending to that legend.
TBH Knowing of Chris and other Cows wasn't fun, for most it was a WTF reaction to the absurd going from that one local guy to world wide both in awareness and reach, about the only fun stuff was Liquid Chris and that's only because it was mostly harmless and if anything I think for a good portion of that time it as a Safety Valve on a Steam boiler CWC had a place and target to blow his impotent rage power fantasy relefe valve towards without harming others.
As for your second part -
Legends are History, they are retelling of historical events so much so they enter the social lexicon of a society and often carry over from one culture to another in one way or another. Chris is for us a Preciant History
i.e. one we can see unfolding in our lifetimes, I'm not saying in in 2000 years from now people will be telling there kids of the Story of Chris but he strikes me as the basis of a legend a story others will tell to others to learn from, oddly enough I could see him being the Gilgamesh saga from Mesopotamia for whatever the internet and humanity evolve into he's mentioned in so many places and in so many ways a story will be constructed around what's known without the nuance we have.
Two examples of this in classical literature are -
1) The Bapir in Gilgimesh peaople read it as bread for a few thousand years, and the quniform for the two interchanged but the original meaning was essentially a Cake Melange of grains you could then process into Bread or Beer.
2) The Golden Fleece in the Jason Saga of classical Greek history, it was long read as a Fine Fleece, or some kind of mythic alogory, however it was part of a Primitive Trammel separating system for Gold, it took a lot of research and also a lot of archaeological finds for that to become apparent to various groups for that to be accepted as the most likely explination.

I've been aware of CWC and followed him for a while in passing till that event from not long after his discovery and I've never genuinely thought that CWC would have a truly happy ending.
I've always thought that Chris would end up in prison for doing something to someone like groping them etc at a con someone had invited them pack to a party room or alike or doing something creepy at or near a school mostly relating to a comic or something he saw, but him doing it for his own autistic reasons not what this has happened to be.
I've always thought his relationship with Barb was creepy but mostly due to his and her age and the level of physicality it has, It's one thing to say to your Mum that Haircut looks nice on you, it's another to fawn over said haircut like your a 13 year old trying to get off with the Girl you like from Art class.
I can understand why
@Null never put certain things together as there are certain things that just dont mesh in the human brain as they are so repulsive to even consider, CWC isn't normal and he has ended up doing the nasty with Barb but 99.999% of humans don't even consider that a possibility or something they could ever consider, what Chris did is a fundamental violation of Biological reactions one that very hard exists in all society's and to break it you have to be very outside of both society and the law (thus explaining Royalty) for it to be something worthy of Death normally or exile.
