At most, what I think one can argue is that there was probably a point where he shouldn't have been trolled, and people should have left him alone for good, so he could develop actual friendships and socialization and everything else. Yes, there were attempts, but unfortunately none of them lasted long enough and Chris also had the tendency to discard the people who tried doing help in exchange for those who made him feel good.

I don't think Chris should have never been trolled - horrible though the thought is, the dumbass coasted through life too long and it's not like trolling created the Blarms saga, for instance; that was his autism - but it shouldn't have reached the point where a stupid bint cheered his fucking his own mom because she outdid Bluespike.

I'm not sure where the line could/should be drawn though. Most organized trolling was stopped after Bob's Death with the exception of Jackie which had a small revival before being shut down again. Everything else was done by independent agents. In fact former trolls actually were on his side to a greater or lesser degree at that point. I do think prior to meeting Jackie a crossroads was hit. Either the trolls should have managed Chris' life like some bizarre Truman show or Bob should have cut the fucking internet down.

Chris seemed to like living in Plato's cave fighting silhouette monsters and rescuing shadow princesses.

Won't say it can't happen, but I don't think Chris is attracted to children.

I think he’s an opportunistic predator. He’d fuck whatever he can get access to. I don’t think he’s specifically attracted to children, but if he thought he could get some from a child without consequences then yeah, he’d go for it.

That's easily the common consensus among most of the community, I think. It seemed like that was the way things were going to go, Chris and Barb rotting away in the 14BC Horde until Barb eventually died.

I always assumed that Barb would die, someone would step in to prevent Chris from totally tarding out, then he’d spend the next few years bumbling around until either succumbing to health conditions or getting trapped under the hoard.

Barb being molested as a kid really puts a lot of her life into context. Her strained relationship with her family, her issues with alcohol, the hoarding, manipulative behavior...

I think people have the wrong end of the stick with the “fun story when she was 2” thing. Don’t get me wrong, I think there is something dark in her past, but I don’t think a lying retard describing what a demented old woman claims to remember fromq an age before she could form long-term memories is the smoking gun here.

The childhood pics of him can be somewhat sad, if you stop to consider that kids don't have any choice who their parents are, or what type of environment they are raised in. There was obviously much less awareness about autism and other mental health conditions during Chris's childhood years. Bob was a well educated man, but he was from a different generation where I don't think he could grasp or understand those issues. Barb never came across as being on Bob's level intellectually, seems to have had mental health issues of her own, so she wasn't going to offer Chris much help either.

It makes you wonder what his life would have been like if he had grown up at an earlier, pre-internet time. Not saying DA TROLLS are to blame for his predicament, but he would have never been exposed to, and consumed by, all the stupid shit that he has latched onto through the years. He was never going to have a normal life, but I think it would have been a lot better for him. During the peak of the "Classic Chris" years, I used to wonder "why don't they get a new phone number and limit/restrict his internet access" but apparently that never dawned on them. It seems like maybe they used the toys/video games/internet as a way to keep him out of their hair. Which is sad.

Lost sympathy/empathy for him with his attitude and behaviors through the years though.

Chris fucking his ailing demented old mother isn't the first case where he tried to get away with something horrible, but it sunk him to a new kind of low that not even his direct family is safe from his antics.

- He took pictures of Snyder's daughter and tried to hit him with his car all over being banned for being a obnoxious shouter/confrontational jackass.

- Drew the infamous fingering pic of Megan and after scaring her away, still demonizes her to this day.

- Called someone as weak as the Twin Towers during 9/11 which he re-enacted with no outside provocation plus various other death threats for no real justifiable reason.

- Nummerous instances of inappropiately touching/attempting to kiss people like with arranged (fake) dates or at TooManyGames.

I always laughed at Chris in a schadenfreude way, finding it entertaining how a dumb sex-driven animal can get himself in deep trouble with little real reason to feel sympathetic to him, but after the Barb thing, I do hope he faces some form of actual consequence for his actions following his arrest.

Yesterday I re-watched the video where Chris is screaming NOW NOW NOW and then Bob comes into his room telling him to take all the videos he uploaded of their hoarded hell off the internet so the county doesn't come condemn the house. It always used to make me smile but now it just makes me feel sad.

Chris was giving off major predatory red flags for a while now and people who cried 'ween' for stating as much were either deluding themselves or just oblivious. Before this came out, my best case scenario was Chris would permanently remain so repulsive he would never be in a position to take advantage of anyone vulnerable. Worst case was he would rape someone else if not Barb. Given that Chris has come off as unpleasant to me for a while, it doesn't really affect my perception of the events surrounding him. Divorce the artist from the art kind of deal. Chris might have done something reprehensible, but the landmarks of his life are still just as amusing.

The mentality I really don't understand is people who followed Chris long enough to hear him say things like he believes a parent raping their children would be good for the child because no one wants to end up a thirty year old virgin like him and not picking up on anything. My understanding is the abuser thinking they're doing their victim a favour through their abuse is a fairly standard mode of thought among predators. If Chris hadn't raped Barb or anyone else in his entire life, it's still recorded in black and white that Chris is the type of person who would have no objections to raping his own children had he succeeded in having any, while regarding himself as being responsible and good for 'helping' their development. How is that supposed to be reconcilable with him just being everyone's favourite funny autism man?

Over the past few days, I have been rewatching classic chris and chris related content. Most of it I still enjoy but sometimes something comes up that reminds me of the whole situation. Especially the mumble chats and some of his family videos, truly a tragedy.

I've mused this idea and came to the same conclusions. I think the best possible outcome for being born prior to 1982 was being born in the 1930s, where when Chris came of age he would have been able to do the Boomer "walk in on any job and make money" approach but still have the Roosevelt tugboat to fallback on. Consumerism was not only rampant but encouraged, and conformity to a Conservative culture until the 60s hit yet with no internet would have given Chris a chance to lead semblance of normality. Some woman might have married him at least for 14 Branchland alone since economic opportunities for independent women were less available or he could have had a shot with hippie girls in the 60s.

I also think Chris would have fit in as a Zoomer for similar reasons. A lot of internet communities are somewhat closed off, where a lot of late teens early 20s people congregate and live and share memes together. Anti-bullying shit, while creating a generation completely coddled but incredibly innovative, maybe would have helped Chris. He might have also been able to fit in with creepy fanfic girls a la the Wallflower better. Additionally Autism was understood and he would have gotten the help he needed.

82 was a really bad year for him to be born. Autism wasn't really understood, advertising and consumerism hit its peak cultural saturation in the 90s as well as concepts like brand loyalty. When Chris graduated High School, the job market was only decent for 8 years, never to recover to previous peaks. Computer tech like his CADD degree would change drastically and he would have had to require constant schooling to keep up with tech (which is still advancing albeit at a more stable pace in that field).

OP asks if this current event will change our perception of Chris, and I’m wondering if there will be a future attempt to rewrite history in order to make KF and the damn dirty trolls look worse and turn Chris into a sympathetic figure or even a historic LGBT figure of history who was tormented their entire life by internet bullies until they manipulated HER into sticking HER GIRLDICK in HER own mother.

It’s happening still with the Byuu suicide and Ethan Ralph attempted to do it with Chris right before his arrest.

Let’s say hypothetically that he kills himself before trial or maybe in five years Chris dies in prison. And hypothetically, Chris whether Chris is murdered or whether it’s for a mundane reason like a heart attack or cancer.

How big will the movement be to absolve Chris of his crimes and turn it into another chance to cry about this forum?

It's still funny. Despite the fact that he's a rapist, I feel somewhat bad for Chris. He clearly meant no harm.

Here's what I suspect happened: he flirted with Barb because he's mentally retarded. She flirted back because she's a confused old lady with dementia. Being mentally retarded, he didn't realize that people like Barb can't truly consent. Having dementia, her view of reality was warped. What happened seems to me like the result of two horny people with broken brains living in close quarters without supervision.

I could be wrong, though. There's still a lot of information we don't have.

Chris has transformed into a monstrosity of a person compared to what he was a decade ago. It's very hard to look at him the exact same way because we know where the story leads, but you just have to look at it from a time capsule perspective.

Each and every interaction he's ever had in real life and on the internet is like a snap shot of that particular moment, the times when he was just shouting at the camera about how the pickle man tricked him again, taking down that damn ED page and "You want me to calm down?"are all little microcosms of a larger picture that's encapsulates his entire life. This entire event happening right now is like a slightly larger snapshot, but it will trickle down into the next chapter of his life, where he will make decisions and choices different from the next.

I suppose things won't ever be as harmless and funny as they once were, those days are long long gone, but that doesn't mean that Chris will just cease to exist and decide to vanish from the internet forever. Chris needs attention, he thrives off of it, he needs that encouraging ego stroking feedback loop, his journey into despair is being taken one step at a time, and after his punishment is set and done he'll be back here, and people will still discuss/talk about him.
