I don't know that much about him, but it's probably more accurate that he finds degeneracy, prurient behaviour, extreme lust, or perversion as what's flawed and lacking in virtue, rather than just sex.
Being with a "trad" girlfriend who he also connects with, and has the same interests & goals; a whole different thing than just being with any (it has to be special).
