edit: I think we're all assuming Norma is legally married to Jerry because if she wasn't, why would Frazzle start all this shit to begin with?? But... well, maybe Frazzle just never thought to check if they're legally married, and maybe they're not legally married for whatever rextarded reason. The only reason I can think of is that Jerry refused to marry her legally to protect his own shit.

Because she already gets SSI and if she gets married it will effect her leeching free govt money. It would greatly reduce her $700 welfare bucks a month. She probably has Medicaid so all her healthcare and Rx are free anyway.

If she marries Jerry she could try for SSDI but doubtful she’d get it and even if she could it could take years to get approved and get that money flowing. SSDI benefit via a spouse was intended for widowed spouses with dependent children. (When it was created most women were homemakers, so it made sense to give the disability benefits a husband earned to his surviving wife and children) It was not intended for adult woman’s second marriage of a few years, who’s husband is still alive and working, and has no dependent children. I don’t think she’d ever qualify for SSDI Benefits via Jerry unless he died.

I have a feeling they are not legally married. White trash people leeching SSI are well known for having ceremonies, that aren’t legally binding, and telling everyone they are totes married and posting white trash wedding photos on FB. Or they just decide to start telling everyone they are married and it’s not like the trailer park crowd is going to check. They do everything but actually make it legal to avoid getting less welfare bucks. $300 additional dollars a month is way more important than marriage. (Which is why KY big shit fit over gay marriage was extra ironic.)

White trash are dumb and can only think about that monthly check. It also usually means they get food stamps too, so it’s free money and food, sometimes HUD vouchers for rent too. Being a govt leech is a way of life in KY and you will pry the gimmes from their cold dead hands.

I actually give some credit to Amy Slaton for actually getting married because I figured she’d fake it too. So Amy Slaton is classier than the Thumb’s mom.

Who knows? A quick good search shows that the GFM is organized for Jerry by Norma, unless I'm being exceptional and reading it wrong. It's a clusterfuxk.

This is what actually makes me doubt that Norma's cancer is as terrible as they say, if you had/have someone close to you fighting cancer you would NEVER ever wish that on anyone, no matter how terrible they may be but again, these rednecks don't even have a bit of humanity in them so it doesn't surprise me, disgusting.

Let me explain you a thing about Tricare and military pension payments since you seem confused. Norma would not be entitled to ANY of Jerry's pension unless they stayed married for 10 years and then the payments in her name wouldn't kick in till Jerry dropped dead. On top of that fact if Jerry is a white trash piece of shit then he probably retired at a lower rank and with 50% of his pension being entitled to Frazzle, as it should be, it won't amount to much and surely not enough to outweigh the payments from SNAP, SSI, and medicaid. As far as Tricare is concerned it is no where near as good as the ACA expanded version of medicare for poor people is. Tricare still has out of pocket expenses. Medicaid has zero out of pocket expenses for those who qualify and that includes things like surgeries and chemo. Jerry may still work for the government but more than likely it's contracting work which has a specific end date with no guarantee for a new contract. They're playing the system, booboo. Norma is able to bring in close to a grand of gibs that are in her name just between SSI and SNAP and she is saving thousands on medical care.

tl;dr: Tricare and military retirement pensions aren't shit compared to state gibs.
