How long did you lurk before joining and what made you join?

I started lurking around 2017. Made an account when Shuwus nudes were leaked and hidden behind the private tag, so 2021 I believe. If it weren't for private tags I don't know if I would have ever made an account. Maybe I would have missed A&H and made one. I used to leave tabs open and bookmark threads before having an account.

Literally for one week and that was just to read the Gen Z and tech literacy going backwards thread since it was a topic that interested me. That was at the end of last October. As for what made me join, I had the thought that the Farms is a place that I would be able to make some kind of mark on it and be able to be involved a small but nice (Nice if you can take being called a faggot) community where you can freely say what you want to say. Compare that to anywhere else and it was a no brainer. Along with that, the only sub-forum that interested me was Community Watch. That's what I thought I would be most into. Admittedly, I haven't done much other than shitpost and sperg about my interests in Off-Topic but I guess that was meant to be.

I lurked for a year after joining in 2014 (almost forgetting I made an account in the first place), and mostly bounced in between General Discussion/OT, Beauty Parlor, Deathfats, and Community Watch, occasionally poking in the CWC forum. Like most of the users here, I took advantage of the joys of freely spouting/adding colorful slurs to my vocabulary and the nice, niche (at the time) community where we could all play along and be in on our own little jokes. It felt like a "right place at the right time" moment when the CWCki Forums became Kiwi Farms, too.

It'd be when I used to lurk on the CWC forums before its rebranding to KF mainly on my older laptop, which unfortunately has its HDD died in 2021. Almost joined, but I felt like outside the forum and watch antics going is better than joining the CWC. So, my first Lolcow was actually Chris, and I knew about Chris and his weird antics outside of the Dimensional Merge saga.

And currently, I'm fully dedicated to mainly Fat Rick and his spiraling downhill to rampage and Patposting. Maybe some ITGs, and including Frank fucking Breaker; occassionally Jagoff, Chris. Ethan Ralph, Nik Talbott, Poojeet Singh, Zo-Zo. Otherwise, joined in 2021 was simply for Chris, and this account went BP for some reason.

For the previous LC Salon-frequency gorlbabbling, Chantalsperging and female artcow babbling (and why this account is not banned from GT), that's my wife's former control on this account before she gave the entire account to me. She's uninterested in that subject anymore, and would likely be interested in co-op with me getting other users' skins for fun. She might get into other forums and gave her expertise on the girly subjects of all things, and that one imageboard she rarely frequents, and laugh together about it.

i remember first coming onto the farms around mid 2019 after watching genosamuels stuff and wanting to read up a little more about chris. Didnt really start actively lurking since 2022 during the dropkiwifarms saga because i was a big fan of metokur and wanted to check the site out after watching his stream on the topic. Made an account because i got bored of lurking and felt like contributing to the autism.

i somehow stumbled on here while looking up information about this lady on youtube who has some weird cooking channel that is gross and annoying, and then joined up, because i liked the whole forum layout. about a week or so later, i posted in the tommy tooter thread, because i was absolutely appalled at how evil/disgusting he is. the whole lurking thing has always been part of joining a forum, so i didnt think much of it, and even now i dont really say a lot unless i feel that it could contribute in some way, i guess. that said, i was pleasantly surprised to find out that there are other women here, for sure.

Of course I read about Chris Chan before, but I think the first lolcow I started reading up about and following on this site was DSP, I remembered his name from the early days of YouTube but never watched him. Needless to say that OP was quite a trip. I later found myself enjoying other parts of this site much more. Decided to join up when one of his furfaggot mods (who later turned out to be an admitted animal rapist, shocker) made an account here to beg for asspats. I felt that was the right time to chime in, and now here I am today.

Lurking's really no replacement for posting though. I thought I knew how to post here, but the very first thing I did was piss off Null in the programming thread. I was banned from it for a year or so, but no longer after I asked nicely.

I read up a little on the site from the CWCKi and saw there was a lot more here than just Chris Chan.
