I wonder what the purpose of creating a shitload of accounts in such a short period is. It's definitely linked to the shooting, but you can't use the accounts to influence people on the site since account creation time is plainly visible. Perhaps glowniggers just want to keep an eye on KF? If so, why make it so obvious?

I think it was just people wanting to sperg out about the assassination attempt. If it was anyone important they wouldn't have made 100+ accounts at once.

The most active thread for the assassination attempt was the US Politics thread in Articles & News.
You can't see the Article & News board without an account.
Many lurkers would have signed up just to track the news also all the glowies spying on us and stealing our thoughts

Same reason people put up security cameras that aren't actually plugged into anything. They want you to feel watched.
