How many squirrels would you have to see in a day to mention it to someone?

I always thought the universal limit was five, but I've recently learned that some people mention seeing even three in a day.

I've heard this question before but with owls instead. I see a lot of squirrels around here. So I guess I'd have to see a ton of them to think it was odd.

I don't have good enough eyesight to single out individual squirrels and recognize duplicate vs. unique squirrel sightings.

Why, a group of 12 squirrels is completely appropriate virtually anywhere, but were one added, in which case the premise is immediately deemed Unclean.

I used to live in a place where seeing upwards of five squirrels in a day was a common occurrence and not worth mentioning. Now I live in a place where I don’t see any squirrels, so a one-squirrel sighting has been enough for me to comment on it.

Same here. Also, squirrels are adorable and the missus comes from a place where squirrels are even less common, so I mention every squirrel occurence to her.

Squirrel news: I bought a bag of squirrel blend food for my mom, who likes to feed the ones in her backyard. She says it was too good because now one of her feeders has completely disappeared from the backyard.

I’m so lousy with squirrels over where I live I’d have to see nigh on a hunnert a the rascals fore I’d fetch up on such a sight.
