Recently I read in the U.S. Politics General thread that Jello Biafra is a never-Trumper because he was threatened and coerced into holding the position by Antifa sending him threats.

For a really tragic version of this, look into Jello Biafra, the lead singer of the Dead Kennedys (until a judge fucked him over and stole his songs so some dindu ex band member could sell them to Toyota for commercials). He was ranting in the 80s on a level that would have made him fit right in on Infowars -- Hillary killed people, the Clintons joined the GOP to fuck over the Green Party in California, "Become the media" (a cornerstone of modern Antifa tactics), etc etc.

Ever since IT WUZ HUR TURN turned out to be a wet fart because actual punks threw the Uniparty's plans into disarray he's been chanting the praises of the authoritarians who would have put him in a camp if they could. Hell, perhaps even before, since I remember when it looked like the right was absorbing some of that Punk Rock, DIY, fuck authority culture in the meme wars he turned on Trump to try and bring the faithful punk brand drones back to the plantation rather than let them laugh at the Clintons without permission.

In Jello's defense, he most likely is doing it because he'd be outright killed if he didn't since antifas and their black block cronies outright called for Jello to be murdered in the early 00s complete when he denounced them and their tactics, complete with bounty on Jello's head to get their ilk to try and straight up murder him at speaking gigs/concerts in the 00s. Would not be shocked if certain Antifa groups contacted Jello and reminded him that they still wanted him dead and would finally Salmond Rushdie him if he didn't submit to the anti-life equation.

Between this, and Kanye alleging that Hollywood and music stars have handlers who feed them opinions to express to the masses, how much of celebrity opinion is genuine and not simply coerced by others, who either threaten them, their families or their careers? I'm beginning to think that the woke brain virus is actually more astroturfed than we knew before, with a significantly more top down control mechanism rather than just general widespread insanity.

There are definitely people who haven't updated their programming and still believe that the religious right has any power over them and that progressive politics are countercultural. They also likely have the same hobbies, philosophies, and favorite media as they did in 2005.

That reminds me of a retrospective that IIRC Chappo House did on Studio 60, the infamous one season Sorkin show that flopped so hard that it nearly killed Sorkin's career. And how it encapsulated the exact moment that a good chunk of the left froze themselves into amber as far as thinking that society is stuck in that moment forever and a day.

And part of it is due to the fact that Bush BROKE THE BRAINS of a lot of lefties/progressives, in terms of giving them permanent PTSD over how utterly and completely buck broken the modern Democrat Party was during the height of the Bush II reign of terror. And why, after Obama got elected, they abandoned ALL of their former principals and beliefs and became obsessed with NEVER LOSING POWER AGAIN. Even if they have to break the law, commit election fraud, promote/fund domestic terror groups, and destroy the global economy to do so.

And going back to Studio 60, it represents Hollywood (via Sorkin and using SNL as his proxies) and their utter contempt and hatred and disgust over the public at large for not sharing their views and for DARING to think the opposite of what the "enlightened" hollywood elite believe is important. While at the same time, Sorkin using an expy of his ex-girlfriend (a conservative christian who had to become a poster girl for the SJW mafia to avoid being canceled) and a generic liberal comedian with a soldier sibling who he loves more than life itself, to produce a Bette Midler-esque "I don't hate those stupid mouth breathing red state scum, I wave at them when I fly over their garbage states when I fly back and forth from the coasts!" passive aggressive ass covering (as the conservative girlfriend expy loses every argument she has with Sorkin's expy unlike in real life, where she left his ass or the comedian dealing with his parents being sub-IQ savages who don't understand comedy as a literal concept and who actively tell said comedian son that they wish they never had him/prefer their other son the soldier and can't fathom why said soldier kid doesn't share his parents contempt for comedy boy son).

Which makes Studio 60's failure all the more hilarious, as 30 Rock offered a far more nuanced take on the culture war issues of the time, with Kenneth the page (the representative of middle america/flyover country) being portrayed as being smarter than he looked and who's taste were never explicitly mocked given how earnest he was in what he liked media-wise, while Jack was portrayed as relatively reasonable and likable even though he's supposed to be a right wing cliche.

Not counting the ones who are intimately involved with or flat out owned by The Media (any of the very few media conglomerates such as Sinclair Broadcast Group that compose most mainstream news and media sources who all share interests financial and sociopolitical) who are basically obligated to parrot the mainstream narrative regardless of its message, the remainder likely do so because to dissent even one percent into red territory is to possibly be labeled as a liberal enemy. This could result in lost income, lost popularity, and lost strokes to the ego.

A more obvious reason why most Hollywood and ultra wealthy types are liberal is because they make fucking millions upon millions upon millions of dollars a year, are a lifetime member of The Elite and have nothing to worry about from any laws or regulations that might be imposed upon Americans, nor any rights that we may lose. They do what they want when they want and if you think they don't, you are living in a fantasy world far more surreal than their own when they consider problems of the world and then claim to have the answer for them. These problems could never possibly be seen or understood from the penthouse of their ivory tower. Even if they come from shit, they ain't there anymore. They are Elite now.

Celebrities are the LAST people any sort of trust, obedience, or accordance to humanitarian competence should be paid to. They all live in their own little world, their own little club. And you're not in it.

I pointed out to them that the reason it didn't get flagged down like other shit like that onthe sanitized ass internet these days is more than likely it's a honeypot set up by people with influence that could stand to gain from that kind of thing being followed through on, referencing the many times government agencies have done so before and you know what their response was?
