If its a game I'm interested in I will watch Tevin's restream or rarely on phil's page but i dont chat. This is very rare though cause he never plays anything interesting. I thought his gta3 stuff was worth watching tho cause of the salt.
 
Almost never, I will say it has become my new Thanksgiving tradition though.
 
If only the Sons of Kojima and their like weren't outed as the losers that they are, deep down (as in just about no better than DSP...). More people need to be making fun of Phil because it's not that fucking hard to really do, either.

'Tism aside i legit think they were entertaining and they never came as obnoxious as DSP in any of their material. I legit wonder why they had to resort to GayOps seeing as they had little to no "competition".

fred fuchs was very insecure. I remember once I brought him up in freedom chat. Keep in mind he was never in freedom chat. So I bring up his name and all of a sudden he appears and starts defending himself.
 
Lately, I’m lucky if I can stomach restreams. Really the only time I make it a point to watch him is when it’s a begathon that I know will give me some laughs. There’s nothing quite like his Olympic grade mental gymnastics that get me hyped.

I really enjoyed their lets endures because it was just banter and shit at Daves expense. Shits not hard, just have good mojo with the other hosts.

Gay ops was hilarious, imagine being more retarded than Dave.
 
Though I religiously watch Snort Burnell ( that's how I start my day), the first and only time I've actually been on his channel was to watch the first let's play vid of Far Cry 5. It took Phil's dumb ass 5 minutes just to get inside the fucking church which had me screaming "DO YOU WANNA PLAY THE FUCKIN GAME?!?"

I think I made it about 5 minutes past the introduction and I thought " What an obnoxious jackass!" and clicked off.

I only remember Fred genuinely showing up for some of the Scarface streams, and even then he preferred to use that Rabbit video sharing/streaming platform to do it. I wouldn't be surprised if he was paranoid enough to just keep a chat only anonymous page of FC open to check if anyone brought him up.

Back on topic, I used to be able to watch the raw streams from mid 2015 through the end of 2016 and occasional bits in 2017/2018 by having other stuff to focus on: tracking stream attendance, looking for funny moments in DSP's chat, talking in Freedom Chat/Discord, live tweeting stuff etc. Even in late 2017->May 2018 when I was tracking tips via screencaps, I was sleeping through main streams and catching up with the images during 2nd stream, only listening to prestreams and some 2nd stream gameplay. Since my main PC died in May 2018 I've only tuned into a few streams, mostly via restreams and rarely watching through the entire thing... I tend to sleep from 1-2pm to 10:30pm PST so I miss most of them anyway.

DSP community pre-gayops was split between people who wanted to monetize shitting on Phil vs. not monetizing.

SoK was against monetizing, others like Tevin did whatever they wanted. All of this was fine but they decided to moralfag really hard against people who monetized detractor videos, such as ardnas.

I remember hearing somewhere that Fred wanted to make DSP-detraction into some mini-franchise/network thing where they have full control (or at least, majority control). If Phil ever legally went after detractors who monetized their videos, that would hurt the SoK brand by proxy. Fred also couldn't directly "control" detractors outside his group, such as .txt or Tevin, so that's where the beef happened.

Then the leaks came out and now most, if not, all the detractors monetize their videos and content at least to some degree.

on topic, I wanted to watch through his persona streams but they were legit the most boring shit I have ever watched in my life except for when he bumbled through combat. Even the TIHYDPs are a slog to watch especially during daytime scenes.
 
I jump in a couple of minutes a day. I might check his tips and subs total to see if a new Tut appears. If he's playing something new and interesting, I actually spend less time watching - I don't want my first memories of the game to be ruined by phil's bodily noises and incompetence.

The thing was, ardnas was 16 at the time and never had an AdSense account. Someone in the SoK just saw an ad play on her channel and it was assumed her videos were monitized, not realizing YouTube will just play ads on a video and keep the money.

And as far as I'm aware Tevin doesn't monetize his YouTube channel, I thought he just has some PayPal tip functionality that has the text-to-speech linked to it but I'm probably wrong, I don't really follow Tevin's channel. I know before he got b& from Twitch his YouTube channel wasn't monetized.



I started lurking the Farms because I wanted to stop hearing Phil for 20 minutes a day during a Snort Burnell or Mrhuth video to find out if anything happened. I think it took less than a month after I started watching them before I got sick of hearing Phil's voice. That was the most I've ever watched DSP.

I tend to fluctuate between watching TIHYDPs and stuff from Soma Julius Cruz/David Davidson/Mrhuth/Snort et al. There will be times where I go on breaks for months at a time, though...Phil is a very easy person to get burned out on.

Currently watching Outsyder's TIHYDP of REZero in anticipation of the upcoming REMake2 TIHYDP. I've been watching it in bits and pieces...about 2/3 of the way through since Sunday night.
 
The big problem is some of the better "editors" (@David Davidson , Outsyder) don't seem as moved by the content they've been given recently, and you can't blame them. I peeked in during a Black Ops stream and it was the same grousing bullshit he's been doing. If all you want to do is slap a pithy headline on a reupload of Phil being Phil, you're swimming in the pink. . .if you actually want to turn a gameplay session into salty-gold good luck.

. ..I honestly think the last time there was true comedic gold, was his FF XV playthrough.
