How old is too old to learn to skateboard?

Skateboarding is for when you can afford to break a few bones and get a few injuries without missing college or work or whatever. Try surfing.

I saw a guy last year at the beach longboarding, and he had a black lab pulling him doing all the work. I thought, "that guy has his shit together, pretty cool" but he was also wearing Burt Reynolds short shorts so your opinion may vary.

Depends. Legitimate pro/am tier skateboarding no later than 14/15. Most skaters these days start around 5-8. If you’re an oldfag who just want to hang with his skating buddies, skating flat ground or the park then any age really. A lot of skateboarding is pretty easy to learn, and with the right exercise and caution, most skaters can keep skating into their 50s.

It’ll help the best if you have friends your age who skate. No one wants to be that one guy at the park who’s 10 years older than everyone else.

Longboards suck. Save them for the college freshmen
