Here's how to look at being a weirdo:
Look at the site you're on. Look at the people that are discussed here. Notice how so many of them are absolute unapologetic pieces of shit and wastes of air who have no concern whatsoever about hurting or taking from those around them. This is what people are willing to tolerate. These subhumans are the kind of people who own society at this point. There are so many miserable, nasty individuals who could not care less how anyone else feels, they'll do what they want and everyone else will have to accommodate them.
But what? You, someone who's a little odd but well meaning, are going to be an issue?
There's one of two options: either someone has a problem with you, in which case they won't do shit except cry and think mean thoughts because they're impotent fucking faggots and their opinion is totally irrelevant (the twitter option, basically), or B) they're going to be people who respect your confidence and maybe will have a little more confidence in themselves because they saw someone else break the mold, even if you screw up. Hell, that's all leadership is, having faith in what you think is right and making decisions regardless of what everyone else is doing, with no guarantee that you won't fall flat on your face.
Just worry about being honest and going forth with good intentions and things tend to turn out ok. Remember in a lot of cases things are only "normal" because nobody's done anything different and made it look good.
And ultimately even if nobody respects you and everyone thinks you're a fucking idiot, if the world has reached a point where feeling things and acting on them isn't allowed, then why bother caring at all anymore? There's nothing left to lose.
