I bought a camera. I'm going on a 10-day trip where I won't always have access to a power grid. No internet at all.
How do I back up photos from an SD card? I know there used to be "portable photo banks" (battery-powered devices that took SD and other types of cards). These days the best I can find are usb-powered portable drives, which still require a computer. I really, really, REALLY don't want to take a computer with me.
So what do people do now? Do portable photo banks still exist under some other name? Is there maybe a device that can connect directly to a smartphone? Or do photographers just stock up on SDs? (I won't normally need a pile of SDs, it'll be a massive waste of money.)
