As far the science behind this goes, all you're doing is preventing potential infections in the short term or within a specific region. All it takes is isolating people who have it into a new small country for the rest of their lives and the virus should die out within a century or two.

What do you mean? What precisely does going "full nazi germany or USSR or middle ages" mean? Would it mean we would go toward going in a direction where what we can and can't do is tightly controlled by people in power? Because as I'm sitting at home in curfew in the Netherlands with restrictions on travel, I find it hard to envision such a dystopia.

What I mean is that modern homosexuality came to power due to the rise of cities and the knowledge economy. According to some historians, modern homosexuality happened due to the fact that technology and the marketplace freed most people from their families and small towns. So when I talk about going "full Nazi Germany" I meant popularizing small towns and rural villages that allows the citizens to monitor each other's actions. The poorer the town or village, the more likely they are to have anti-gay sentiments.

Maybe, but the Muslims run around and beat the shit out of gay people and throw them off of rooftops, so you're still getting what you want. Life's all about looking for those silver linings, unless you're a gay man in the Middle East with a fear of heights.

I think there is more nuance to homosexuality in the Muslim world. People like to talk about Muslims persecuting homosexuals. But it's more complicated than the Middle East hating and persecuting gays. I want to add that pre-homosexuals used to flee to North African and Middle East countries during the 18th Century and on, because it was seen as more tolerant of homosexuality. Especially places that were controlled by the Ottoman Empire. Also I know some gays in Islamic Countries, they seem to be faring okay.
There are two great books about this subject called "Behind the Veil of Vice" and "The Lives of Great Man". Though one the last one is about homosexuality in Africa. The premise of the last book is that wealthy, education, and urbanity acts as a shield for homosexuals. The more wealthy you are, the more likely you are to be untouchable to some extant because you have the ability to access certain spaces and social connections. It's works the same way in Arab countries that are more international and urban.

To humour OP's unironic homosexuality for a moment: The only way I see society being openly hostile, or at the very least cold, towards homosexuals again is if the Western civilised world switches its highest held value from equality to tradition/stability, which barring a major cataclysmic event is so not going to happen. And even then, after you've rebuild society from the ashes and ruins of the previous one, the dogma that promises you said stability and tradition needs to explain why everyone should give a shit about homos instead of minding their own business, because homosexuality is in the grand scheme of things a nonissue.

I've thought about this before, and I wonder if some high end woke philosopher started thinking that defining a group through the victimization they experience produces them as victims if it could work. Argue that the way they define their identities in and of itself creates the problem. I doubt any would write that, but given how easily this group buys into very easily disproven claims if one of their leaders said it they'd probably start parroting it as well.

EDIT: Part of why I even suggest it, is that one could argue their method of politics is self-defeating. If the way you define your group is "oppressed by cishet white males" there is no place for your group to continue once you dismantle whatever it is that exists to hurt you. You are defined only as a victim then your very existence hinges on victimization and they all love that "internalized" oppression shit and I could see it possible to convince some that their internalized oppression causes them to perpetuate their victimhood and they have to stop defining themselves as they do. Granted, that might require thought.

One way to counter the media is create barriers for dissemination of their propaganda.

Revive dying native american or regional languages. Creole is a great example. New York City harlem used to have its own language. Claim it's racist not to revive it. Dialects work too. Accelerate changes in american language. Right now in the midwest there is a great vowel shift occuring. The most pronounced these changes are the further the medias power dies.

I often think internet porn + social media contagion has spread the whole acronym brigade. Younger children absorb bizarre sexual messages through social media/porn exposure, adults develop more and more bizarre kinks from excessive porn consumption that they wouldn't have otherwise developed. You're always going to have a small number of people who are gay, but that number has been artificially "inflated" due to grooming and social contagion.

Responding to the OP of the thread--- I don't think the gay rights thing in itself caused this cultural shift-- The current madness is from people's identities, politics, and sexualities being displaced by internet propaganda and sexual grooming. Powers that be (tech moguls/psychopaths who push transhumanism) see a huge profit to be made from pushing sexual degeneracy. Controlling technology is controlling the masses.

I see some kind of similarity between what's going on now in terms of technology and the Tower of Babel. Everyone's being pushed down this mental cattle chute to some pre-arranged set of beliefs.

Linking all this together, I know in countries like the US, many people just a generation or two ago were forbidden from speaking their grandparents' language from their country of origin. German and Italian Americans, for example, were forbidden from learning German/Italian by their well-meaning parents who sought to protect their children from animosity post WW1 and WW2. 1800s Irish Americans actively discouraged their kids from learning Gaelic... around that same time, states like Pennsylvania started the state school system purposely so they could STOP the teaching of German to children in German-American communities. The war time hostility + Anglophilia meant that a lot of people's ethnic identities were replaced with something very commercialized, white-bread American, homogenous and easily malleable. Time and time again I'm shocked when I read something from someone who writes in perfect English, yet is also fluent in two or three other languages. It puts the US educational system to shame. The complete removal of teaching other regional languages early on in public school was purposefully done to homogenize, control and isolate us.

I'm not against the assimilation of immigrants, though, I think we should revive traditional knowledge that was erased. If other modern countries can teach their kids multiple regional languages from early grades, why can't we?

I think one thing people should attempt to do is support the kinds of festivals/organizations that still exist which celebrate their ancestors of origin and those of others. For example: many cities host Irish festivals with authentic music, Oktoberfests with authentic music... many ethnic churches like the Greek and Russian Orthodox host their own celebrations which honor their ancestors' music, food, traditions. Unfortunately a lot of the old Hungarian-American clubs, Irish-American clubs, German-American Bunds, old church groups, etc, that often funded these events are dying off. You can find some interest in ethnic history in genealogical societies. We should try to revive them if we can. None of this has to be exclusive, either... I mean, even if you're not Greek, you can get some tasty food at the Greek Orthodox Church festival.

I think festivals and celebrations like those above also foster a sense of respect for HISTORY, which is being re-written by the Woke Brigade.

For example, I went to an Oktoberfest a few years back that featured bands from Europe...The festival goers included tons of really old people from Austria/Germany/Hungary, war brides, veterans, refugees.. but there were ALSO tons of people from former Yugoslavia, Jewish people, people from South America/Columbia/Mexico, black people, Asian people, descendants of White Russians, etc. Those of us raised in the US on crappy public school history books are NOT taught about the huge migrant waves that occurred throughout history-- so we are unaware that, yes, (for example) many Germans settled in Columbia, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. Not all Germans were "just Nazis". Not all Germans descendants were blue eyed blonds. Many of them migrated as domestic servants. Hell, many of them didn't even identify themselves as "Germans", but identified themselves as coming from the particular region of Germany/Austria/Hungary/Russia etc, they came from. The Emperor of Austria ruled over Mexico not long ago.

Despite the woke brigade and their racial ideologies, many people who look like they're one specific ethnicity actually have ties to other countries... and there's nothing wrong with celebrating all parts of one's ancestral history. So many of us from the US have these bizarre ideas that people come in monoliths and come from ethnically homogenous countries with sharp borders that never changed. Attending festivals that celebrate ethnic history helps dispel myths we absorb from movies, social media, inaccurate news, bizarre educational theories, and TV. Filling people with a sense of their own history fills the vacuum that would have otherwise been filed by Woke Propaganda and bizarre Gender Ideology grooming.

I definitely think US regional languages including Pennsylvania Dutch, Creole, should be revived. I never heard of a special Haarlem dialect, but that's super intriguing.

I'm convinced that acceptance of same sex attraction is on a spectrum. The more technologically advanced, wealthy and concentrated a population is, the more it will accept gay people. (And the more sexual weirdness it will encourage.) Gayness is one of Nature's hacks to create more babies, as weird as that sounds. People with same sex attraction report having more pregnancies than straight people, and the female relatives of gay men are reportedly more fertile than women without gay brothers. A society friendly to gays is also more likely to be promiscuous and technologically advanced, allowing women greater sexual freedom, since they can get their own jobs and no longer have to hook up with provider males to support themselves. (As thousands of incels shake their fists in impotent fury.) Progressivism and social liberalism owe their existence to increased wealth and technology. It's no wonder that soyboys "fucking love science" since their coomer lifestyles are impossible without it. As long as the West retains its wealth and population concentration, it's level of Progressivism should remain the same or increase over time. The question is "Will the West be able to maintain it's meteoric level of success?"

Affirmative Action and Wokeness threaten the current world order, because they create an economic system where pushing social justice is placed at a higher priority than turning a profit. Politicians willingly allow their Cities to be burned down by howling mobs and drive away their corporate tax bases, because the need to virtue signal and push a Progressive social agenda far outweighs their drive to be functional. Companies will willingly insult their own customers and torpedo their earnings. They'll cram rainbows down everyones' throats every June and see "white supremacists" hiding around every street corner. Logic is not driving them to do this - instinct is.
