I'm pretty sure most of us figured that Chris won't live into his early fourties. And given his age and his diet for most of his life, plus the unsanitary conditions that the hoard is piled on. How will we know when Chris joins his father, whether it's now or later in life?
Chris' odds of dying are higher than the average American, for absolute sure, and his odds are less favorable than anyone's should be and may well be as high as something like one in six or one in five in terms of dying by his forties, but those odds don't assume he's in jail or institutionalized, and Barb has decent chances of being around into Chris' forties as well.
Chris has real chances of dying when someone plays a final round of kick the Autistic; he's unpredictable and its not really that far-fetched that he threatens someone with a gun. His dysfunctional diet is obviously not good for him--but at his age, it's more likely to simply "Troll" him via discomfort and it might even burn him selectively enough that he learns a better diet through trial and error--even Chris can learn by trial and error. He feels like crap for eating McDs twice a day; Bann happens again, and suddenly he's got to go the grocery store.
Chris probably won't die before 40. His odds are worse than they should be, but remember, there are a lot of guys who beat the odds entirely.

Chris stands a decent chance of dying tragically. Being shot by Jerkops; a parent of a teenage girl, being in a car accident. These sorts of events may well generate some media attention.
If Chris commits suicide, he probably will deliberately turn it into a troll-fensive and try to blame the trolls all over the story. We'd know before anyone except possibly Barb, we might even be the ones calling first responders. I don't see Chris as committing suicide, but I do think if he did he'd do it as a weird way to punish us somehow.
Most medical conditions are going to have a lot of setup; and we've seen some. Chris hasn't had a heart attack or any medical emergencies that seem like this is imminent. This could change quite suddenly, but without a sign that his health is outright fragile I don't see this as LIKELY. We'd probably know when he's within three months of dying by things like his pictures, variations on his postings on Facebook, or even more specific trollings. I'm not sure if we have inner circle contacts to local hospitals (Probably not, it's not like trolls made a bedside visit to Bob--even if that sort of olive branch were appreciated, I do wonder if that's too invasive) but we'd be looking when his Health is fragile and find it when it happens.
Ultimately, Chris is much more likely to die in his mid 50s, when poor diet and exercise strike with massive interest. Even there, he might beat the odds; it isn't even impossible with a lot of luck in technological advancement he could be a centenarian. The odds of this might even be better than him finding a heartsweet.
