How would you react if a close family member told you they were a pedophile?

Pedophiles lost their human priveliges as soon as they decided little kids give them the hots. They could be my dearest relative, but if they admit theyre a pedo they're getting the fuck beat out of them.
 
I'd want an explanation, depending on the answer my reaction would be to try and get them the help they need or call the police.
 
Help them keep their secret and make sure they never act upon it and make damn sure theyre never around kids. Simping for the state and turning them in is only acceptable in the case that they've actually acted upon it in some way. Turning family in for something they might do is for cowards and low-T manlets.
 
Really depends on how they approached it. If they unironically used the term MAP or tried to minimize how bad it was I'd assume they're too far gone and disown them + warn everyone who knows them. If they were 100% remorseful and disgusted I would try and get them help, but considering the outlook for actually fixing pedophiles is pretty slim, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Well there's a rather big difference between offending and non-offending. If they said they never offended and were troubled by their affliction, I'd just advice them to seek psychiatric help.

If they diddled kids, I'd tell them to go to the police and confess their crimes.
