Being that it's the 25th Anniversary of the launch of the Hubble Space Telescope, I came across this little gem of a discussion on one of the Space-oriented forums.

DR;TL Version: After a space shuttle crew came back from a Hubble repair mission, one of the returned used solar panels was broken up and given to various people who worked on the Hubble as a token of gratitude for their work. The stepson to one of these recipients puts one up on eBay to make a fast buck. Major shitstorm ensues at the Goddard Spaceflight Center and @ NASA, and several people's careers are put into jeopardy. Idiot's relationship with his StepMom goes down the toilet, so he decides to re-list it just to piss her off.
