HuffPo Writer Suggest Stripping White Men of Voting Rights

https://archive.fo/LN5fV

Argument is basically "If white men couldn't vote, then recent referendums and elections would have outcomes that I personally would like more. Therefore, they should be disenfranchised."

Oh, and she is an MA student in Philosophy.

EDIT - Turns out it was a troll. But HuffPo initially defended publishing this and called it "basic feminist analysis" in response to criticism before investigating and discovering and admitting that the author was a troll.

So let me get this straight...

They want individuals banned from voting because of their race and sex, in order to combat perceived racism and sexism.

I dunno, isn't that: racist and sexist?

Oh fuck it. Logic doesn't apply to Social Justice Whiners.

I remember seeing similar comments on a political site regarding the election.

One poster wanted white men kept out of the comments because criticizing Hillary for any reason is sexism.

The irony of this person suggesting oppression of people of a certain race and sex while whining about sexism was not lost on me.

"only people who get paid by the hour should be allowed to vote. no salaried or higher level bonus/parachute workers"

This is why they came up with the idiotic idea that oppression, racism, sexism, etc can only be commited from a "place of power". The "Power + buzzword = oppression" nonsense.

They carefully restructured and redefined these words so they can't be applicable to themselves in any way. Gee, I wonder why.

The sad thing is, most of the useful idiots most likely aren't even aware of this sleight of hand and actually believe this nonsense.

10: 1 says he is an autistic, cross-dressing lunatic, who is just projecting.
You can tell his photo is shopped up the ass, and he needs to be locked away in South Africa's finest facilities.
That's a man, baby yeah!

That's it, i'm calling troll

If this was a troll a few other people at HuffPo SA are in on it. They've written an article doubling down on their idiocy.

This response actually sort of reminds me of when Chris was surprised that people were mad he was demanding someone buy him a PS4 for his birthday. Although even Chris issued a half-arsed apology for his earlier bad behaviour rather than telling people who were rightly annoyed to fuck off.

It's the Anita Sarkeesian defence! 'Oh, this is just standard feminist discourse, pretty basic stuff, you must not understand it if you are upset, and that must mean it's correct!'

I still think it's a troll, Huffington post will defend anyone if they preach the dogma. Then again, I was convinced Brianna Wu was a troll for about a year.

Turns out it was a troll. HuffPo was just stupid enough to buy it.

:story:

LOL, not just stupid enough to buy it in the first place, but stupid enough to defend publishing it in the wake of controversy before finally retracting it and conceding it was a troll. And yet they call it an "oversight" after already defending it in the face of controversy.

Okay, where's that old HuffPo Community Watch thread? I need to unlock it because they just defended themselves after falling for an obvious ruse and claiming the troll's batshit insanity was "basic feminist analysis"

It's open and ready for comment fam.

Ot but a Facebook group I left featured some mentally ill teen going on a " I hate cishet men" because ofsome asshole customer at her shitty grocery store job. The mod came in and said that if any men posted on the thread, good or bad or neutral, they would be banned. No thanks, I'll show myself out.
That's the same type of fucked up thinking, there

Feminism nowadays is just a front for women trying at supremacy. That's why you'll often see feminazis talking about how women deserve unequal treatment (preferential to them) regarding matters like the draft, selection and pay. They feel they should reap greater rewards even when they do less.

With the draft, despite their claims of "wanting equality," you'll find that a great portion of feminists feel women's exclusion to be completely legitimate and fair. That right there proves the equality bit is a sham.

It basically is, though. It doesn't stand out much at all in the category of the kind of incredibly dumb third wave shit you hear from sites like The Mary Sue and Jonathan McIntosh's ilk. Parodying this stuff is almost wasted effort because you're just not going to get any dumber than the original article anyway, and you end up with just more of the same dumb shit.

We have a statement from the troll. It's a white guy from South Africa who wanted to prove that racism is acceptable on the left as long as it's against an acceptable target.

Those who thought that Garland is not real were correct. For she is a pseudonym used by myself, a white South African male, to show that one can write absurd racist and sexist hogwash, as long as the target is the right one.

The piece was accepted without question by the Huffington Post even though – as others have pointed out – the piece is riddled with factual errors [and] logical fallacies. Huffington Post did not fact check any of my ludicrous claims in the article, nor, as far as I can tell, was the piece edited.

This is an indictment on journalism … and a further indictment on the Huffington Post is the fact that its editor, Verashni Pillay, then took it upon herself to defend the total garbage that I had written.
