You're absolutely right, of course.

@Yaoi Huntress Earth has covered it pretty well, but the general gist is that they will accept no defense of any smut unless it's made by a self-declared Social Justice idiot. Historical context? They care not. Authorial intent or done as a character trait? Ditto. An empowerment fantasy by women for women? They especially hate that one.

Unless the smut lets them virtue signal. Then it's fucking sacrosanct. Otherwise they claim to fucking hate it.

Of course, their argument that it oppresses women to draw girl sexy girls ignores that many women do so because they fucking like doing so:

so i tried one of the visual novels and i'm not sure i can really call it a game. it seems incredibly contrived and sort of boring with some differences here and there in the story. about half of these games have you playing as a woman, as well as being very tongue-in-cheek considering it seems to basically be wish fulfillment fantasy. how is this any difference from trashy bodice ripper romance novels or by-the-numbers rom-com movies? is it because the characters are generally meant to be fap fuel in a way? it's like they never even played them, just watched a preview or something.

it's hilarious that as the [male] protagonist you can get shot or stabbed or slapped and turned down and such if you make shitty choices during the story. one example is creeping on a girl you were on a date with at a mall and trying to peek on her in the changing room (trying on outfits): you get a taser to the balls for being a total creep. that seems fairly believable, it's not like the love interests are treated poorly - they're caricatures for the sake of needing to be characters.

i didn't get to play the fantasy one or the two at the beach, my wife took those when i showed her the games and asked for an opinion. now they're on her account :(

You haven't lived until you've gotten into an internet fight where pointing out that it's extremely sexists to go around assuming all women are fragile and can't bear the sight of unrealistically proportioned female bodies in media causes a salty SJW-fem's brain to melt right before your eyes.... especially when it's pointed out by another woman who admits to being a fan of the work in question... tis' glorious.

Man, all those Ess Jay Dubyas protesting really made a fucking dent, didn't they? This shit has 8 days and 10 hours to go. According to my tiniest amount of Google Searching, many of these special bundles rarely break 1 million. If it's not threatening or exceeding 2 mil by the end, I will be disappointed.
