Managed to make it out fine here. Just had a bunch of leaves and branches strewn about the front and backyard. Didn't lose power which is lucky since about 30% of my county apparently did. Hoping relief efforts for the folks south of me get underway as soon as possible because things are looking bad down there. Don't even know how they're going to get to Sanibel Island since the causeway got a chunk of it knocked out.

As Hurricane Ian tore through Florida, liberal media took the opportunity to target Governor Ron DeSantis for his views on climate change.

Joy Behar, a co-host on “The View,” tore into DeSantis as the hurricane was approaching Florida. She angrily read a quote from DeSantis about his stance on climate change in which he said, “I am not in the pews of the church of the global warming leftists.”

“This is what he thinks about climate change,” Behar ranted. “And now his state is getting with one of the worst hurricanes that they have ever seen.”

Last night they had some longass ad looking for money for their troon cause right in the middle of hurricane coverage.

Fuck old ladies who couldn't evacuate and had to ride out the storm in a 1985 singlewide, we need your money to keep the world safe for white men.

Fuck the ACLU straight to hell.

FEMA's performance during Katrina was actually a total fucking disaster though. The state and local govts fucked up too, but the FEMA response doesn't need any help looking catastrophic.

I agree. The easiest lies to pass are the ones that contain a kernel of truth. They took that truth and spun it into a story about Ray Nagin, the hero mayor of the “Chocolate City”. By the time Nagin ended up in prison, everyone had forgotten and moved onto the next big outrage

According to the research that I didn't do and a source that is just me typing this right now, no hurricanes of any size were ever reported before politicians started using global warming/climate change as a way to poke at each other and manipulate the masses. It's a proven fact, just reread the sentence I just wrote.
