I am blocking Germany and Austria

Oh, so Null cares about the German posters so will block Germany, but he doesn't care about Jewish posters enough to block Israel. Pretty antisemitic bro. I think to make up for it you need to block Israel and also any poster who has admitted to being Jewish. It's the only way to ensure their safety and make amends Null, otherwise you'll be hearing from the ADL.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. Like Caroline Farrow I just don't feel I am doing anything wrong.
This place is a tremendous resource for people pushing back against this trans stuff.
I regularly link to stuff posted here and a lot of women in my groups do not know what a VPN is or can't afford one.
Silly boys saying the n word is not the problem it is the trans stuff that causes the issues and that's the evidence we need access to. Stuff from here makes it to the mainstream media.
Block posting or sign up if that puts your mind at ease but please don't block viewing.
By 2000 standards, KF would be a mere drop in the ocean compared to what existed at the time.
Outside of lolcow threads, this place is incredibly civil. People don't take sides, and they don't tend to suck janny cocks. The only real difference is I can say "Nigger" whenever I want, since it's a word in the English dictionary and should not be stigmatised the way it has. It's like how "gay" just used to mean "lame" to an entire generation of schoolkids. There was nothing motivated against anyone by using that word.

If Thwomp does ever manage to land a killing blow, as negative as that thought sounds, it's been good, but the era of the Free Internet will have officially drawn to a close. In the New German Democratic Republic, it is already dead.
Plus him and Keffals will toss and turn over our very existence for at least the next 20 years, or until they 41%

Again, what makes Germany/Austria in particular likely to do this instead of half the globe?
Because I have never received a request from the UK to identify a user for posting "trannies are perverts".

I don't know why people are playing around like I don't know what I'm talking about.

1) CA's cannot give private keys,
2) The issue is IP, not SSL,
3) The HASSPOSTINGS people are actively scanning the site,
4) They are wanting info,
5) They are hunting their own citizens down and can get info from ISPs

Are you dumb? Lazy? What is the issue?

The issue is that they can't do shit unless you cooperate and actually hand over information. This is how all cases like this worked, it's all companies doing business in Germany who were subject to the NetzDG and snitched on their users. You are obviously not subject to that. You admit yourself that the state breaking SSL is unlikely, so the only information they'd have is some shit like "Tom Reiss accessed the Kiwi Farms for some mysterious purpose on 2022-11-13 13:00", and that would be AFTER getting information from the ISP. They don't even see whether it was a GET or POST request, so what the fuck is the point of only blocking POST requests? What is the threat model here?

As far as I can tell, some dude farting in his tax-funded chair sent a "pretty please gibe IP of badthinkers" to you and instead of telling him to shove it and going on with your day, you went DEFCON 1. Why? Imagine for the sake of the argument that NZ did not block KF in the wake of the Tarrant shooting. Would you have blocked NZ users after getting that infamous email? Nevermind this is a retarded example, in NZ it was actually illegal to even watch the material.

For the record, KF could be Tor-only for all I care, it makes no difference to me. But I don't understand what this block is supposed to achieve, especially after fighting so hard to make KF accessible on the clearnet again.

I haven't read the whole thread so this may have already been suggested, but it seems to me that keeping information online should always be a priority. Would it be possible to have the site stay accessible in repressive regimes but users are prevented from logging in? Maybe have a click through on that page that allows anyone to browse the site anonymously, but still block logins from that geolocation?

wow that's really interesting information, did you know that HASSPOSTINGS ID NUMMER 3943911 was made at exactly the same time?

p.s. when Chch happened we had a reverse-proxy used by 50% of the Internet, so this wasn't a problem.
That does make sense. I still want to say that it's a bit of a stretch since they'd either need an initial suspicion about the poster's identity in order to subpoena the right ISP or just outright subpoena them all, but for all we know they could have infrastructure in place for that, so it's no longer impossible. Better safe than sorry.

Please Null I am begging you to post the Sasuagenigger Gestapo seethe in Legal Notices subforum.
THIS.
