Like what the hell is this?
It just requires context most of the time.
The Joker was raped by a police officer or something in the new movie
I applaud the dedication to never over-explaining the joke, but it does make for puzzling comics occasionally if you haven't been keeping up with things.

Tax: Why has going into debt and spending beyond your means become such a prevalent thing over the last century? Both individually and up to the level of whole governments. I understanding sometimes needing to temporarily go into debt, but the plan should always be to get back to no debt as soon as you can feasibly manage. Why base an entire economic system and lifestyle over leveraging debt to just acquire more debt? I can't imagine that ever being stable.

You play a video in 1.5x, 2x speed, then play it at normal speed only for normal speed to sound like slow-motion.

The state can charge parties for domestic violence, even if neither party agreed to press charges? How does that work?

Why when the plane is boarding, and you leave the plane, you're not able to board back in?

"Greek Culture" just as a concept is disgusting to me and I have no idea why people want to live like that.
Backwards letters, toga sheets, binge drinking, shared housing; what's not to like?

Instant gratification, status, entitlement. If people are willing to take loans out for souped up cars, credit cards and banks would happily oblige.

I'm talking about the shit that goes on in colleges, Greek Culture, Greek life, whatever It's called. I don't know and I really don't care. The premise of it alone just makes me grimace. I just don't understand how someone can understand it and think it's a good idea.

How is it when I'm bored out of my mind, it's like I'm invisible; yet when I'm occupied with something that's when everyone and their dog keeps mobbing me for attention? I don't get it.
This one is such a bizarre situation. I'll be bored for hours with not a peep from anyone, but the instant I start to do something that requires attention, my phone notifications just start firing off nonstop.

Like, how on earth is not allowing abortion to the 9th month, or even not allowing abortion at all, is an attack on women? I don't get it

That's a tough topic, and I try not to approach it because I am a dude and will never have to make that decision for my body. If I tell you how I really feel, well I don't like the thought of anything small being killed. but 9 months is diabolical.

Most women will never have to make "the choice", especially if they act responsibly.

The way the whole debate is framed is diabolical.

How people can go into an asian supermarket, look at bags of completely unidentifiable dried shit and say "oh wow, that looks so tasty!" It just straight up doesn't. I could maybe understand if it was fresh produce you could smell it and get an idea for the taste, but not when it's a bag of dried powered bat penis with msg.

Criminal charges, as opposed to civil suits, are not just a crime against a real victim but also a crime against the state/society itself. I don't mean that in the sense of "crimes against the state" like espionage or treason, but that the state is considered to be the aggrieved party. Hence the State of X v Y, the United States vs Y, etc. for trial names.

People who pay for pornographic content or of that nature (like findom, etc).

I do understand the cause, but it's so overwhelmingly pathetic & lame, that I have to consider them as lower creatures.
