It stopped being capitalist like in the 1950s. The US went through an entire industrial revolution in the mid to late 1800s akin to that of contemporaneous England. You can argue that FDR made the US more socialist, but that just pushes the date back to the 1930s not literally 10 years after the American Revolution.
