I don't like the new ones either. It doesn't line up with the text like the old ones used to (either they're too big or they don't line up at all), and in addition to the lack of animation on the LOL one, the hearts don't work either. The pulsing was a minor thing, but the draining of was half the fun.

I'm mixed. One one hand I like how "neater" the new emotes look, but on the other hand I'm sad that the ones that used to move don't do so anymore.

I'm personally more a fan of the pixel art style, but if we're seriously keeping the new emotes, they need a bit of work. Make his lower jaw less gigantic and ape-like, and give his eyes whites, and they'll look 1000% better. For example, looks much better than because of the eyes with whites.

@Spelling Bee made them and in general I like them. I need to look and see how SVG animations work, assuming they're possible at all. I think they are. If you want to give specific feedback he can probably make changes.

As the guy who made those animated heart emoticons in the first place, I really wanted them to remain animated too.
I'll need to wait for Null to figure out how to get animated SVGs to work, though.
