as a wannabe ornithologist and backyard birdwatcher like some crippled grandma with binoculars.. this makes me incredibly happy to know
Null just... had some random ass wild city slicker pidgeons in his garden

my brain has low standards for what gives me serotonin but it has decided pidgeons and doves are one of them

OMG I love pidgies!

I found a hurt pigeon once and kept him in my room for a few days while he recovered. He sat in my lap and cood. It was the cutest thing ever.

Pidgies are adorable and I’m tired of people saying they aren’t. They are mainly considered to be vermin in my country but I never saw them that way, the way they just dart there heads up and down and coo my heart melts

I think there's a happy medium between rural pigeons that fly away at the first sight of a human, and amusement park pigeons that steal food off your plate when you're not looking.

Nha I have few woodies in the tree by my workshop I've essentially domesticated them enough to let me pick them up, I've got a squirrel as well that eats out my hand - combine that with the 2 dogs, 2 donkeys and a cat it's quite a surreal feeding regime.

I like when feral pigeons do that thing where they spin in one direction then the other, with their feathers puffed up. Wood pigeons are cute too but they're bullies.
