Hallo, hallo!!

Let's be a bit frank.
I hate this police a-logging that's so fetch with today's spoiled, entitled generations. That's something that touches both liberals and conservatives.

I have a strong respect for der Polizei and the figure of the policeman. They have the worst hours, low pay and risk their life to protect the citizen and serve the society.

So, let's do a very kleine thing.
Let's write why we love our policemen!
And who knows, we may start with this thread, and arrive to the point of taking selfies with our neighborhood policeman/woman!

I've never had a bad or unpleasant run-in with a cop and I'm not paste white by any means. Even in the dead of the night they don't bother or pay much attention to me.

It probably has something to do with not acting like a ghetto shit-stirrer. Funny how that works.

As a middle-class white man, the police do not bother me personally.

As a middle-class white man paying taxes, I wonder why I can't just shoot criminals myself, and call an ambulance after. I have to consider many more consequences than the police, because I don't have a corrupt union/department keeping me safe.

Fuck the police. "Good cops" get flushed out by their own peers to protect the department.

Outside of cops that are blacklisted from police work (real good cops) the only other good cop I can think of, is a dead one.

Our local police department is incredibly professional, especially the county sheriff's department. Always wonderful when coming across them.

I've met the county sheriff more though, since the city police is more towards the city limits usually. They let county handle down here mostly.

IMPD down from here can suck a dick though

Police departments are often incompetent. Sherriff's departments are typically overworked, with the higher ups elbow-deep in county politics.

It's a stressful line of work. There are good and bad officers but to be honest if I had to go to work every day for 12 hour shifts expecting 90 percent of people to treat me like shit I'd probably develop a pretty bad attitude myself. I'm sympathetic to the profession, but I'm not naive enough to assume they all have our best interests in mind.

Also: that badge in the first post can read me my rights any day.:tomgirl:

As a white person I've had good experiences with cops. One time my car ran out of gas on the freeway and a cop pushed me to the nearest gas station. I should mention I was also wearing haunted house make up, as I was working in one at the time, but despite me being covered in "blood" he still offered his help. That was nice!
