any particular outliers in that race?
you're in a forest asking which tree is the most treelikeany particular outliers in that race?
take a look in the mirror.I need examples of why you shouldn't let the internet raise your children
Add slightly more autism and you will get Chris.Replace internet with escapistic media in general and you get Moviebob.
- GamerGate. The more gruesome the better
1st being how social media fucks with young girls(body image/the false life everyone lives on instagram
Plus women's tendency to destroy each other socially-think mean girls but worse. Sounds like nothing or some weird sexist shit but look up the studies of how social media is fucking with middle school/high school girls.
Suicides have skyrocketed for them in the past 10 years since social media got big. While young men suicide rates havnt seen such spikes in the same age range.. Anyway along with:
-how Chris ended up being the best example.
- most of deviant art, or rule 34 (plaguing artists with shitty sense of proportions!) Encouraging/ giving place to discover odd fetishes
- tik tok trends and all the old creeps on there,
-groomers on discord.
-All the rabbit holes one can go down and find like minded people who enforce false beliefs,
- Hardcore porn addiction giving unrealistic expectations for first sexual experiences also possibly trooning out from it,
-General lack of developing social skills becoming socially retarded in person and becoming an incel from it, or think snowflake times 10.
Worst is most kids where i used to work (all below 10) wanted to grow up to be youtubers.. Thats an empty goal.
Gotta find a balance if you got kids though. Kids are digitally native now, their social worlds are online/on the phone.
If you shelter your kids they'll rebel and become freak-bitches (you know like what happens to Catholic girls raised in strict houses)
Or if you go hands off they go full native and become a carbon copy of youtube stars and are influenced by lord knows, so many creeps out their encouraging kids to do what ever saying their parents "dont see who they really are."
Again this is the world now, so as they get into their teens they kinda have to "be hip" to the bullshit online. Know what not to click, whats too good to be true and get virus'.
Gotta be able to recognize shit posts or copy pastas so they dont grow to believe in flat earth nonsense.
Balance is key in life, i just fear with all the young kids being handed mamma's iphone at 3 and left to explore the cesspool what will be normal by the time Gen Alpha(kids born in 2010-2015 or something) will be like by the time they hit high school.
I agree man I'm not of the opinion that you can much less should shield a child forever. I'm more looking for easily digestible horror stories to help me convince a relative not to give their kids too much access too quickly. There are countless examples too much to cite in a single thread. So I'll play pretend and act like you phrased the question differently. The reason you do not, is the same reason why children need guidance growing up. If you don't "direct" where to learn said "guidance" from. Its a crapshoot if they will find suitable guidance or not. Same with the "sex & intimacy" talk. If you don't address it before horny kicks in. They will either make stupid decisions or if you're lucky learn without any mistakes.
How these examples pertain to the internet if you allow access to the internet. It absolutely needs to be talked about, the pros & cons etc. Kids need guidance & direction when browsing the internet because if you don't warn them or teach them ahead of time. They will find out shit on their own and come to their own conclusions. Which free thought and individuality is good and all. But since kids are developing its good to keep them on a path of prudence and competence. Otherwise they are likely to find solutions to questions they have via the easiest route. Which isn't going to be most competent route. Hopefully this answers your shit question.
Which in a way is kind of the problem I have an entire library of why this isn't a good idea but I have about five minutes to explain itYou are in Kiwi Farms. You have plenty of examples already.
Are your relatives in some at-risk group already, like autistics? Or are they basically normal, so far as you know?I agree man I'm not of the opinion that you can much less should shield a child forever. I'm more looking for easily digestible horror stories to help me convince a relative not to give their kids too much access too quickly.
This is still very helpful even if it isn't quite what I'm looking for, thank you.
I can give you three examplesWhich in a way is kind of the problem I have an entire library of why this isn't a good idea but I have about five minutes to explain it
Wait a minute, Ross is in a mental institution? If the internet never have ocurred I really doubt Ross would be in a mental institution as of now.
