Just any resources you find educational about any effects of the disease or how it works, and best ways to talk or help them in the disconnect state or their lucid states. I know schizopherina is a hard ass disease to corral, I'm not looking for cures or to give him therapy myself, just anything that makes it easier to understand and any new interesting research that helps us understand the disease. Or how people deal with their friends.Dealing with them how? If they're off their meds good luck. There is no dealing with them. They just do whatever they want and the best you can hope for is that they aren't in a destructive mood.
I do have some personal experience dealing with someone, who was a friend, who is schizophrenic. There's really not much you can do other than try and have patience and generally be supportive of the things they say while not necessarily catering to whatever delusions they have and try to gently curb any self destructive behaviour as best you can. Try and be positive and supportive about them taking whatever medication they might be on. I'm not normally one to support pharmaceuticals but they absolutely can make a massive difference with schizophrenics if they find one that works for them. Generally I'd say just be as patient as you can with the person. It's not easy and it gets harder as time goes on.Just any resources you find educational about any effects of the disease or how it works, and best ways to talk or help them in the disconnect state or their lucid states. Good news, he's gay and I'm a woman so no dick sticking anywhere. As someone who's seen some deranged fuujoshis and faghags, that's still good advice to give anyone.Nothing short of a PL as to why you need this would convince me that the answer you’re looking for is, “Don’t stick your dick in crazy.”
yesis this better in deep thought
ah I love that wordfaghags
True. At work I trained a young guy who was like this. He was smart, likeable, and a promising team member. I didn't know anything was wrong at first, we hung out a few times outside of work, thought we'd become friends.Suppress your empathy and just run.
Not a shitpost. My experiences trying to "help" or even just to be there for schizophrenic friends have been absolutely disastrous. You really do not want to invite bona fide schizos into your life.
