I Want To Write a Thread But I'm Too Busy/Not Retarded Enough - Newfag Problems

Been here for a while now and got pretty comfortable with the site UI and how the community ticks but I still can't help but be lost in one area: contributing the forums.

I have taken a crack at it early on and it was a mess that never left the proving grounds I think. Poorly researched, no links, and just words. Pure trash. Since then I haven't had the upmost confidence in myself to make a second attempt. But as this year rolled in I found the winds calling to me again but I hesitate.

OP makers out there, I ask. What can I do? I got a topic in mind but don't have all the time in the world or deep oldhead knowledge to info gather, fact check, and personally archive every autistic detail. Where do you start?

Solid advice. I should clarify: I know I said contribute but I don't personally feel obligated. I do want to make a thread on a few topics but they been in the freezer and I know how this site works with presenting. You do it right, wrong, or not at all.
