I wish more had been done with the GBA

I liked how some games on the GBA had connectivity with the Gamecube. And that handy accessory that allows you to play GBA games on the Gamecube. It's like Nintendo was thinking with the Gamecube and the GBA simultaneously.

Sonic Advance 1-2, and to a less extent, 3 were a good time for my 10 year old self, but the GBA really just didnt have much going on. So many of those SNES ports would have been just fine if they had figured out how to not crunch the screen down.

This was shit. Games that required them for multiplayer like a four swords adventure or crystal chronicles (thank god for a real port) fucked up. Og animal crossing let you access a tiny island. The best one i knew of was wind waker let somebody assist you in dungeons as tingle. There were even hidden tingle chests exclusive to the feature.

i honestly think the gba was a great life cycle, this console and the ds are still top tier handhelds and the games on them while many shovelware, other times still fell amazing today with a few execptions

never got a GBA. saw a friend once play pokemon ruby on one but at that point, my interest in pokemon had died off. got an emulator on the phone and finally played some and it was alright. played advance wars 1 and 2 and fell in love with the series.

I think we’re forgetting the best thing about the GBA: game boy advance video which allowed you to watch cartoons one frame at a time
