Update- ice was also fucking carolines best friend so caroline called the cops and is trying to get them kicked out of the resort because kayleigh hit her first when caroline found them

The update bit is a bit speculative. If you believe Ice or what he was trying to amp up on stream, then that’s the read (except Ice was saying Caroline hit Kayleigh)

My read was that the cops were tired of callers and she seemed like the perfect way to deescalate the situation. The cops really didn’t understand what was happening.

I feel a bit vindicated for calling Caroline and Ice not really separating. When she was showing up in the lobby of his apartments “because her gym was there” even after they broke up, it sounded like a very typical Ice lie.

You’ll notice whenever Caroline is sloppily leaking / bragging / confirming that they’ve been together in some capacity you see Ice stemming and hand flapping and giggling. This is an easy tell when he’s caught in a lie. SSJ was talking over Caroline audibly when she was dropping more and more unsubtlely that Ice and her have been intimate or dating.

Ice sees himself as a views and content mill. He sees himself as the most valuable person on YouTube / Twitch / Reddit because of the views/likes/comments he gets. But Ice isn’t unique or interesting in any way. He’s the exact opposite and his only way to get attention is to cause fake dramatic situations (and sometimes real by being a dumbass.)

I didn’t really “get” Ice until he was talking about how when he was a kid he used to do “wacky / funny” things when walking to school crossing crosswalks. Things like jumping at the cars to make them believe they were going to hit him or walking dramatically. He was starving for attention, but the only way he knew how to do it was in a “funny autistic way.” His sense of humor has never evolved beyond what you would see kids doing in middle school doing or saying.

I think for a lot of normies this is their first experience of almost 24/7 content coming from a lolcow for hate watching. And it’s super accessible. There’s the YouTube (previously Twitch) streams, leech spin off streams, Twitters of all players, VODs, memes, Reddit, forums, etc.

To be clear: I think a lot of viewers have transcended hate watching and gone straight to idolizing and fantasizing that Paul is some kind of real Business and Marketing Social media god that they can get a little bit of the pie from.

There was a kid in my HS who was very affluent, adopted, and coincidentally autistic. He used to buy friends. Did you want soda and candy and free rides to wherever you wanted? He was there to provide. You hate being in his presence? Well he would literally give people money to hang out with him.

I don’t know what’s more sad: the Autist who provides or the people who are Stockholm Syndrome’d into thinking that Ice really cares about them because he gives them money in the form of stream time / companionship while cameras are rolling.

The whole origin story with Ice is that he was a runescape streamer who started out as a cut rate Jace in the sense that he'd both tell over the top "that totally happened" stories and that he'd be the subject of pranksters.

The IRL streaming part started around the time of Pokemon Go, which is well when the whole IRL streaming craze took off. Some of his Runescape audience would dump him as he went from game streamer to retard streaming himself in public acting spastic towards other people and over time his content went more towards trashy probably-scripted reality TV tier content. That's also probably why he got stream viewers, people were watching in the hopes stupid shit would happen, either scripted, from someone SWATting Ice, or because Ice is a total dumbass.

The idea of an IRL livestream community watch came up previously but didn’t garnish much attention.

I think similar to how we have the section for Tumblr, we could have one for IRL streaming. I see this encapsulating YouTube, Twitch IRL live-streaming, live.me rips, Instagram live, and any other platforms we might see coming up.There is a ton of crossovers between cows and some incidents that have a bunch of cows together (eg. Vidcon thread, Runefest thread, etc.) that makes documentation more difficult.

It’s interesting now how people like Baked Alaska or Anything4views (for the unfamiliar he was the fat Aussie fuck from maxmoefoe/ idubbz / filthy frank / how2basic crossover collabs) kind of try to become IRL live streamers as part 2 of their notable digital people on the internet careers. Especially because of the status of demonetization, you can expect some of the YouTube jackasses going to IRL livestream to stay relevant. We already have MTV Hollywood dipping in with Andy Milonakis.

Threads about IRL livestreamers don’t seem that throuough on KF, and I think that’s because the crossover collab confusion, too much content (things like 13 hr VODs to sift), too many leeches who show up and fizzle out within days or weeks (I often hesitate to talk about things here because I’m not sure if so and so Andy will be gone tomorrow), or the cows are more notable for other things that have lost relevance.
