You should have seen it from the their end. The so called reprisal attacks when Trump was elected, the Charlottesville march, that guy driving a car into protestors, the whole Russian interference thing combined with the Kyle Rittenhouse incident, plus the fucking weird story about federal officers kidnapping people in vans during the Portland riots, running alongside the narratives about the police and ICE being racist persecution squads for the Trump government, and Biden's subsequent uptalk of 'white supremacist' groups that are planning an insurrection, and this bullshit about Project 2025, have given the Left the idea that they have been brutalized and pushed into a corner and have to fight back. It's a small amount of truth mixed with a lot of bullshit, but it's set up that this political violence is a long time coming. It's made a lot of people on the Left believe the Right, with or without foreign backing is essentially pushing for a civil war.
