All these morning talk shows of middle-aged (mostly white) ladies saying the most vapid shit conceivable such as The View and The Talk. It's as if they want to sell banality and bougieness as ideal portraits of a modern woman.

And it's not as if most men's shows present a good ideal for who the modern man ought to be. I find more and more that media has become anti-eductational. Television and instant media in general have been whittling away at our common dignity since Kennedy was shot. It used to be less apparent. The generations before the Baby Boom were harder to fool, but now we're ruled by the Bugs Bunny generation. God help us.

I seem to remember Phillip Sousa saying something about how canning music into little cylinders took away the need for regular people to learn instruments and share music as a community. We used to watch shows at penny theatres and stage plays, and see music at great halls and open events. Maybe - just maybe - we were better off then. Not that I would ever want to erase a century of art, but I think a new way should be considered once society ultimately collapses.

Sonic the Hedgehog.

Honestly a great choice. I like the first 3 Genesis games well enough, but there were better things even at the time and Sonic is for some reason the genesis (eh? eh? get it?) of some of the most degenerate and annoying people to ever exist and they have stuck around like cockroaches for decades, pretty much since the begging of the franchise. How Sonic has remained in the public consciousness when 95% of it is bad and Sonic basically never not being Poochie in terms of committee design is something that has always baffled me. Many young lives might have been reclaimed without it.

I suppose the downside is that Sonic leads to Chris-Chan leads to KiwiFarms so we wouldn't be here without the franchise...

I cannot stand this fucking game. I hate it. I hate the plot. I hate the melodramatic bullshit. I hate the emo undertones. I hate the LE GASP! THE CHURCH WAS BAD ALL ALONG! side plot. I hate Seymour. I hate Tidus. I even hate Blitzball. Hell I don't even think the soundtrack is that good.

Gameplay? Fantastic. I hate how this game gets all the love though when 12 is just an objectively better game overall from virtually every aspect.
