If you could have an hour-long meeting with anyone who's ever lived, who would you choose and why?

You could talk about anything, by the way. Assume that there's a language translator if needed.

I think it would be interesting to hear from him directly, plus no need for a translator lel

Hitler. I’ve always wanted to get inside his head and understand in his own spoken words his reasoning for the things he did and what led him to those conclusions. I honestly believe that it would be a very fascinating conversation to have. As well I’d like to tell him how his name and legacy has lived on since his death and see how he reacts to the fact that he lives in the minds of billions as perhaps one of the most significant figures in world history.

Jesus. Maybe we could get some answers to some very long standing doctrinal disputes. Oh, and get the parables and teachings directly from the source transcribed. Could all that be done in an hour? I mean, Jesus is Jesus, so probably.

Barring that, somebody who was particularly well informed about European goings on during the crisis of the Third Century. Maybe one of the Emperors that we barely even know the name of. Either that or Emperor Trajan.

You know, he did write a book if you want to get into his head. Go read it.

I'd be scared to choose Jesus, though I'd like to. I don't think I'm worthy.

I would have chosen Hitler, but I've studied him quite a bit. I don't think I'd get much from him I didn't already know. Uncle Ted would be a good choice.

How about Diogenes the Cynic? Settle once and for all if he was really a great philosopher or just a lolcow who got some good quips attributed to him Oscar Wilde-style. Or both.

I think a lot of the ancient Greeks would be good choices. So many lost works and figures known only from quotations.
