If you could stop a potential murderer, rapist, etc. would you?

Look up Kayla Bourque. She is an animal killer from British Columbia in Canada who is a diagnosed psychopath who has fantasized about killing homeless people, and they were able to subject her to very harsh conditions of release on the basis that she fits the profile of a serial killer and is high risk. This was not without controversy, as many argued she was essentially being punished for a crime she has yet to commit, and that treating her like a serial killer would actually make her more likely to become one.

I wouldn't want someone to stop my potential murders and rapes; therefore I would not stop others'. Golden rule, faggots. What Jesus would do.

Without being in the situation, really can't say. I would like to think I would but when push comes to shove I have no idea what I would do.

As of the question of the topic, i would surely do my best to convince the person i suspect will commit a crime to not do so, but in the end, i have no real proof that the person in question will commit a crime; As the law puts it, he is innocent till proven guilty.

But i want to point out some issues with that study you just linked;
First of all, all the research was done in just one subject, that is far from acceptable for an actual study to pinpoint the causes of bestiality in the general population.
Second, the subject is described as "A 18-year old unmarried, non-literate male of low socioeconomic status" with average indian IQ and a historic of sexual abuse on his childhood and alcoholism as a teenager.
The article also mentions that this guy father and brother practiced domestic violence against their respective wife's, a thing this guy witnessed as a child.
I dont know man, i think this guy has some seriously big issues, it's no wonder he's mentally unstable, don't colour me surprise if he also turns into a pedo in the future, his mental health must be crawling down the drain.
I believe a real study with serious research on multiple subjects is necessary to actually find out the cause of bestiality.

I also want to point out that the analysis of the drawings is hilarious.

In Florida there is something called the Jimmy Ryce Act. It provides for the "involuntary civil commitment" of people deemed sexually violent predators. Now, before you start applauding, let me explain the absolute Orwellian nightmare this is.

First, it is only triggered *after* you have served your full criminal sentence for whatever crime you committed. Then, a head shrinker paid by the state to agree with them, administers a score system that is supposed to determine your risk for reoffending. Then, you have a trial. It is for "civil commitment" (functionally identical in every way to incarceration) so you don't get the benefit of a criminal trial. It is not "beyond a reasonable doubt," but preponderance of the evidence. All manner of evidence is admissible, even hearsay that is inadmissible in slip and fall or any other civil case. As a matter-of-fact, the ONLY evidence the jury is not allowed to hear is that you will be incarcerated in a secure facility. Or the fact that while you are being sent there for mental health treatment of whatever sexual disorder you may exhibit, nobody is ever released from this facility because no psychiatrist will ever risk releasing you should you reoffend. There are "patients" at the state's facility that are approaching 30 years there.

Oh, and the "test" they use is junk science, the developers of which have specifically stated should not be used in sentencing determinations because it isn't accurate or dependable enough. Once again, the sexually violent predators sent there have fully served every day of the sentence they plea bargained or were sentenced to.

And those useless cock-chugging swine that steal money from the taxpayers for delivering nothing worthwhile for their salaries, better known as the US Supreme Court don't think there's a fucking thing wrong with this. If I go to hell when I die, at least I'll get to watch them and everybody else that set this monstrosity up waiting in line to suck Satan's flaming cock.

If, by some prescient power, I knew that someone was going to commit a heinous crime unless I intervened, I would intervene. My personal morality is such that I feel compelled to act if something I can do will avert the suffering of others. Within reason, of course, since I can't save everyone.
