If you made a cult, what would it be about?

A cult that believes that God sees furries as unworthy beings that have tained the human race - and thus the entirety of humanity should be purged from the Earth as punishment. We shall lynch a furry every Tuesday to appease this God and prevent him from destroying all of mankind, right before tea time.

I would make sungazing a core tenet of my cult because I find the idea of someone giving themselves eye damage for religious reasons very, very funny. Additionally, because it's already an established new-age spiritual idea it might be easier to convince people to do it.

So probably one of my fetishes so I can take something from it.

Not sure how it would be organized because I suck at that, but it would be really, really gross.

I'd combine Scientology with COVID hysteria and the wellness industry.

Some bullshit about how interacting in the world exposes you to corrupting pathogens. Through our masks, products and services you can cleanse yourself. We have hippy meditation sessions to cleanse the mind. Special hand sanitiser. Special lightbulbs for your home. Have some kind of Scientology level structure where you can train yourself to be more resilient to the pathogens. Of course, you can completely reset your resilience if the cult wants to punish your behaviour or thoughts. The pathogens feed on your doubt to their existance.

Members wears masks with our symbol on them. Which will make others paranoid there's a threat. Helping to recruit. It's mainly about making money. The fear of collecting the corrupting things, will isolate people from the world more. Becoming more reliant. We can offer safety. They start using our restaurants, products and services.

Fear of the pathegoens in the world would have a strong affect in isolating people from the outside world, friends and families.

Someone will probably do something like this lol

Nobody starts cults anymore, nowadays you launch a crypto token instead, which works in the same way. People give you your money in the present and you promise them an incredible change in their lives that will happen in the future. The ones you've scammed need to desperately validate that they are not, in fact, utterly retarded, so they start propagating your bullshit and converting others

I’d probably go the pseudoscience route a la Scientology. The sort of thing that attracts people who are reasonably intelligent, but not super-analytical, and gives them a sense of superiority.

Insane, bisexual, mountain cult devoted to worshiping opossums. We'd be armed to the teeth, occupy a fortified position, and sacrifice pedophiles we kidnapped off the street to the great opossum in the sky. If your gonna do a cult, you gotta outdo koresh and manson in levels of crazy. Plus, this cult really wouldn't hurt people, AND it would kill pedophiles.
