If you turn the brightness up on a device, is that making it louder for your eyeballs?

No. Soundwaves are able to effect more than your ears depending on the frequency. It's simply making it brighter, so your pupils will adjust themselves accordingly.

Us lesser autists just use f.lux and light dimmers.
Red bulbs are for lizards and photography nerds.
 
Actually brightness is proportionate to amplitude and so is loudness, so yeah, that makes sense.

Funny thing is, I prefer bright lights and loud sounds when in a controlled environment more often than not.

But if we're talking scientifically, then I can certainly see where the idea comes from.
 
It depends on the color your looking at. It think bright red would be louder then bright yellow.
