If you use a song for your alarm clock, which one is it?

I often favor classical music as an alarm. Bruise Violet is an example of a song for days where its important that I need to wake up.

London Symphony Orchestra - Sympathy for the Devil

Johann Sebastian Bach - Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565

Babes In Toyland - Bruise Violet

I like the song, it works and I can blame Courtney Love for waking me up.

The song is rumored to be about her since Kat Bjelland the leader singer of Babes In Toyland was friends with Courtney Love. Kat claimed Courtney stole her look, among other things.

The MacOS open is perfect, great song too

I have several that play one after another in 10 minute intervals, just in case. What they are I keep rotating them around, one I woke up to today is the same track that played when you visited 4chan in the recent hack. A lot of touhou music is pretty good so I keep those on-hand too.

I used an old flip phone with a really annoying beep guaranteed to annoy me to awake mode.

Don't need an alarm clock anymore, but when I did, it was this song-

I love cats and I use this dumb tiktok dancing kitty meow meow song, so that I feel 0.1% less shitty in the morning. Been using it for over a year and suprisingly haven't got tired of it.

For a long time now mine has been π (Pi) by Kate Bush, it has a nice gentle intro with a high (but not screeching!) opening line
My ex-husband's was Satan Is My Motor by CAKE, which I never understood the reasoning behind

I wont wake up to music unless its extremely loud and abrupt, and at that point, the alarm already serves that purpose. If the negative ASMR of the alarm doesn't make you want to smash your phone/clock, you aren't awake yet.

Bad idea to use a song unless it's a song you already absolutely hate. Same goes for ringtones, really. I ruined Bohemian Rhapsody for myself this way. :stress:

for my regular 'wake up wagie time for cagie' alarm is
i'm normally awake and knock it off in between the first chord and the song actually starting.

if it's an alarm for something else i'll just pick a random very loud song from my library.

I still use a clock radio, because I like to be able to see what time it is if I wake up in the middle of the night without having to reach over and fiddle with my phone. It's set to the local oldies station, which works well for me.
