I'm sorry you feel that way. Maybe you can devote some time to learning to take a joke, or realizing that there will always be other people in the world who think and feel differently than yourself. I'm not trying to be mean or smug when I say those things.

I understand your feelings, but they are "coming from inside the house", as it were. No matter how big of a "bigot" someone may be to your sensibilities, you can take all their power away by refusing to let them affect you. People need to realize that they have the self-esteem within to make mean words go away all by themselves, without stirring up drama, acting like a victim, and subsequently losing the respect of anyone outside of whichever online echo chamber you come from. When you choose to let nonsense make you a victim, you surrender your self esteem.
