As for most trump supporters cheering on repealing 230, I think the issue is more most people didn't really understand it. I know it's not something I fully grasped until recently. I would not put too much into random clapping at Trumps pronouncements. Be more worried about people all for it after it's been explained to them thoroughly.

With respects to the politics side of things...its really unavoidable. I cant think of any other major forum or platform that vigorously defends opinions that contradict "the narrative". It was inevitable that the Farms would become big in that space, since all that pent up water had to go somewhere. It's hardly unique though. Politics has invaded every facet of our lives at this point. Not just here.

I would also urge you not to take the black pill on America just yet. Winston Churchill aptly stated "you can always count on America to do the right thing, after exhausting every alternative". At the moment a particularly vicious strand of authoritarian power has taken root in our institutions, but its roots are not as deep as it may appear. We will sort this out, eventually. And places like this DO help in that endeavor.

You have technical talent and can try to get involved with startups or come up with a project of your own. Keep the podcast going a while to have some bridge income but you'll be more stable and probably happier if you focus on profit-making enterprises entirely. You already live overseas and have the luxury of being able to tune out US politics/news if you want (you'll be much happier if you do).
