I'd hate to see it go, I've had a lot of fun reading the forum these last few years (big F for my old account). Though I'm not one for really interacting or posting, it really is a good community, even the more annoying users with their obnoxious takes for stickers are still usually funny in one way or another. Tbh I’m surprised this came now. I joined 2014 so I caught Chris right in the middle of his hiatus and DN right as it started to get going. I feel after DN ended the site peaked despite growing larger. It peaked again in 2016 but brought in all that politics shit that spread out from the news section. Suddenly everything was pro or anti trump. Suddenly people who would have been mocked and made fun of a year ago, are running about freely shouting it’s the Jews fault they spilled their rice pudding or whatever.

That community feeling kinda vanished and was replaced with these sorta insular mindset, each thread and then sub section becoming its own mini-community and echo chamber. It’s hard to believe that only a few years ago we could actually have meet ups off site and just hang out.

I lurked on the CWC wiki and here but didn't join until the NZ happening because of the awesome reply you made. Your sites have always been enjoyable. I echo others: take a break and do IRL things with friends. Getting a dog would be great because dogs are awesome and will always be there for you.

If you need financial help keeping this site open let us know. If you need help running the site let us know. Before making a decision take a break. Deliberately force yourself not to think about it at least for a couple of weeks. That way you can make a decision logically and not on emotion. You could have others help run the site or a mandatory donation. I know that sites like this fall apart and die when someone or a group take over so make your decision with a clear mind. If you decide to shut the place down I understand but I will be very sad.

We all know what happened with SA and other sites so if you want to kill it before it gets to that point that's understandable.

I’m gonna be honest here, I think KF has helped me a bit during these crazy times. It made me see I wasn’t the only one who thought all these riots weren’t peaceful protests. No point in me reiterating what everyone else has said so I'll go with the "find a woman" topic. If you want someone who will stay home and not work outside for money, then American women are probably not for you. You likely know that already. At least in the USA it's hard as fuck to make the bills on one income much less cover health care, and women also are justifiably fearful of their men either leaving, becoming disabled, or dying in an accident. So most of us work. And that's leaving aside the psychological aspects of work for many, who feel that they did not get an expensive education in order to stay home and concern ourselves only with domestic duties. This woman would also have to be on board with what you do, maybe a fellow shitlord, unless you disavow it entirely and completely distance yourself (hard to do, since the internet never forgets.) So you'll need someone from a traditional type culture... but still shitlord friendly. I won't lie, this sounds like a challenge, but certainly not impossible.
