What do you predict would happen if Josh nuked the forums? The way I see it, the users who really cared about the site would be relegated to sparse discord servers (similar to what happened with imageboards) where they would larp and reminisce about the good old days. It’s a sad outcome, but a probable one.

Though most people such as myself aren’t part of any KF discord, nor have made connections with fellow users, so we’ll just have to retire from this internet drama bullshit. It’s something I’ve took an unhealthy interest in for a while, and I’d be kind of glad to see it disappear. Then I could get another hobby.

Although there were some people that wanted 230 gone to own twitter, most people in the thread were either telling null to stop being a faggot and wait to see what happens before throwing a fit or internet lawyers that dont know what the fuck they are talkint about

I think free speech is of itself a shallow cause, but it matters. The enemy is that category 'hate speech.' This place is a haven for wrong thinking, or at least an effort at this. Anyhow, any Slavs or Serbs or whoever should try find a tradwife for Null.

I still think Something Awful's user base is pretty funny.

I think I came here for the same reason as you, just looking for a general discussion board similar to Something Awful circa 2000 or so to around 2007 or 2008 where you could mock retarded shit while generally discussing stuff, but I guess that's never what it was intended to be.

I totally feel you, Null. The internet and really the world at large has changed for the worse in a staggeringly short amount of time. I do hold some hope but I understand people who feel it's the end. Old internet culture is on a thread at this point and lolcows are not some special phenomenon anymore since social media has became omnipresent. Everyone uses their real identity and overshares the most inane crap and then John was a lolcow. Will be disappointing to see the site go whenever the day comes, but ultimately your own life and well being comes before our humble New Zealand dairy making forum. And honestly you do at least need to step away for a while and do some blackjack and hookers Jersh tbqh fam.

Just make sure you get your financial situation in order first before you do so. That will make all the difference between being happy 10 years down the line and wanting to swallow lead. Do what you can to achieve that, but if you care about the site, don't completely abandon it. Get away from it for a while, but check up on it every now and then to make sure shit isn't complete chaos, or worse, oppressive.

End note, I'm still having fun with this site and want to continue having fun. There's nowhere else that I can say the same. Keep things going just the way they are and you're good.

I think the issue is that politics bleeds into everything else.

I came here for the Weeb Wars stuff and we have a guy in there that would drop the same monologue about "SJW's and mental illness" every time some one asked about "those people." Perfectly smart, great guy, just I came to dread whenever someone asked about "SJW's" because it would mean that the monologue was coming.

You can ignore it until you start getting deja vu. Then it is just annoying.
