EBay does report earnings, but only after $20,000 or 200 sales. He's actually beginning to approach that 200 sale figure, but should still be sailing underneath the radar right now.

As for the legal stuff, Sega probably could squash Chris for making money off their intellectual property, the question is how litigious they feel. From what I've seen, chances are they won't bother with the cost or effort unless he starts making serious money. So, basically never. Sometimes corporations will bring in their lawyers if they feel that damage is being done to their brands or properties, but autistic kids making deformed, hardly recognizable fanart is something Sega has to be used to.

And if anything, Chris is trying to raise money to support his family because of his house burned down and his life is now pathetic.

What exactly gave you that idea? The toys, the taint piercing, the new car? His life has always been a mess and that has never made a difference. History has proven that he doesn't do anything he doesn't want to unless someone forces him.

I doubt it. Fuck the weens. We're all here just for the trainwreck it is. How it's different is that letting this unfold in natural Chris fashion leads to more laughs than some dumbass reporting it to the real copyright holders and something happening. Best to let these things unfold on their own. Time has proven that he can make an ass of himself on his own without anyone's help. If Sega/Nintendo chose to do anything, that's their prerogative.
