8chan is down, and things look grim in terms of relaunch. 4chan, in my experience, doesn't go down very often. It has gone down twice in the past half week or so, once shortly before the fall of 8chan, and right now. I remember this specifically because I always migrate to 8chan whenever 4chan is down to keep my ear to the ground. This time there is no chan to go to besides maybe 7chan but who the fuck uses 7chan? This is the next best thing, so here's to hoping someone will have some news.

It literally just came back up. It was showing a "Cloudflare report issue" whatnot literally like a minute or two ago. I don't wanna sound paranoid, but isn't the spike in random blackouts a little bit fishy? Especially since they are still on Cloudflare

Everything is a nexus on racism to the media, even twitter is a nexus of racism depending on who you ask. Which is why I find the Cloudflare reaction to be pretty arbitrary and uncalled for.

You need a special browser to get to it. I wouldn't recommend going due to some of the contents though.

No, chan culture has been dead for a long ass time regardless of if all the chans were to get deplatformed.

4chan's been a garbage shitfest full of newfags for years because all the regulars who would actually make it interesting are long gone. The only okay-tier board on all of 8chan is literally /pol/ but it's literally /pol/ and it's not that interesting as a result.
other chans are so irrelevant they might as well not exist.

Now, will the people like me who really enjoyed that time when chans were alive and good look for another place to shitpost if big ones get nuked by their service providers? Yeah probably. I mean, there's this alternative that looks hard to get rid off, there are probably a few Tor alternative out there but I can't be fucked to search.
Generally I think that it's too late now, if they get completely deplatformed, no one will really care. It sure will be a shame for free speech but there just aren't enough people who look at chans these days and say "yeah I like these guys" unironically. Their owners sure as fuck won't cry cause they're money sinks that don't bring in anything positive anyway.
