There is a thing that I've been noticing in threads recently. Ever since the dawn of the Kiwi Farms, people have showed up in lolcow threads discussing their encounters with lolcows and giving information. They are usually former friends, or people in the same community. I'm going to refer to them as "informants," such as how @poser exposer refers to himself.

Informants are pretty common place, and by now, I'd say they show up in at least every other thread. However, especially now, many informants have been outed as people of interest themselves, like @poser exposer and @Ancani . I was wondering what you guys think about informants. How should they be accepted and treated? Any thoughts?

@poser exposer and @Ancani were always lolcows

Informants usually are aware that their acts are disgusting but still come here to act like special snowflakes "not all x are bad/do some damage control now and then".Meanwhile, lolcows can't help themselves but act like retards.
Informants see the truth yet they deny the chance to change and move away from the filth.
Make of it what you will ,but i think that they are hypocrites and manipulative sociopaths therefore shouldn't be trusted.

If you act like a normal person you get treated like one, and the same goes if you act like a Lolcow.
There's a world of difference how for example Terra Jones conducted themselves when they tried to save their own ass by narcing on Phil and say, Skarrlett Crow/tweaker the cat providing information on Phil.

Richard immediately showed up and was obviously a gigantic, crazy attention whoring lolcow, whereas Skarlett Krow and tweaker were just people who encountered a lolcow and had interesting information, and weren't insane. Skarlett's only "sin" in the matter was foolishly trying to help a reprehensible person and getting burned.

There should be a separate verified tag for informants versus cows, in my humble opinion. Then if they turn out to be cows, it should be switched over.

I don't think all informants are necessarily cows and some have pretty interesting insights. Julie Terryberry's thread, for instance, has a ton of informants who actually have shed light on her/Goddess Dez's actions. Then again, you get the people like Eddie who have a minimal amount of actually useful info who show up to A-log, and end up getting outed as bigger cows than the cows they showed up to laugh at.

There's obviously a reason why an informant may have pre-emptive access to the cow. But it's premature to judge them until their own actions reveal them.

I say be appreciative of informants when they come forward, but anyone with half a brain will be watching them closely for the usual signs.

It's not that uncommon for that to be on their very first post. Richard was already an obvious nut in the first sentence of his first post.
