The Colophon genus is a group of flightless stag beetles that are only found on the high mountains in Africa, and like many montane specialists, they are threatened by climate change and all are endangered.

Needless to say, Colophon kawaii is named by a Japanese. It does look kawaii. These beetles are highly prized among Japanese collectors and each specimen can fetch thousands of dollars.

Ichneumonid wasps have always fascinated me. Being in the boonies helped find lots of interesting bugs, I remember playing as a kid in the neighbor's yard and having my leg fall into a mud dauber nest. Glad that they only bite and sting minimally
Rhyssa lineolata

I’m a major spider enjoyer. I personally have owned 2 tarantulas, an Arizona Blond and a Mexican Red Knee. My red knee sadly passed a couple months ago after a bad molt 😢
I loved that little guy so much, he was so chill 💔

And still own the Arizona blond who is bitchy.IMG_2718.jpeg

But my favorite spider simply because of how strange looking it is is the Ogre Faced Spider
